strange, but "selected" media should probably be there and spread the gospel around the world..

BlimBlim, who's a more regular and reliable poster (apparently) is corroborating. I don't know how much to believe though, particularly the characterisation of the announcement being "big" (people often have very different ideas of what's big and what's not).

Hmmm...unless someone confirms or denies absolutely, it could be a long 14 hours..

edit - 8 hours actually. Getting my time zones mixed up At least I'll be able to find out what all the fuss is about and get a good night's sleep tonight

I'd say it probably is this news. 4pm eastern is 6am on the 25th in Taipei, so it seems to line up. I guess there's still a little mystery about the developer involved, though, despite the heavy hint toward Mistwalker in that article..

The annoucement was some sort of exclusive deal with MS between a person that worked on the final fantasy (he may have been in charge of them, i dunno ) and his new company in Japan.
