I don't play footall games, but I appreciate the "big three" football games (from EA, Sega, and Microsoft) for their excellent graphics and innovative UI. While the Sega series is my favorite (because it feels just like watching a game on TV), I'm quite impressed with the graphics of Microsoft's series, too.
Team Xbox has some nice pictures of the new Microsoft NFL Fever 2003 game. Note the individual fingers gripping the ball and the shiny helmet.
They also have an inteview with a professional Football player talking about playing the game using Xbox Live!:

I'm not a sports fan, so I don't know who Aaron Shea is. But he sounds like he's a real gamer, and he sounds pretty smart - he even has some good suggestions for improving Xbox Live!
