XB360 demo pods out now in the US!!

Thank you for pictures. Very exciting time for console fans.

In-store display setup is performed not by walmart workers but by actual Microsoft representatives so maybe unlikely that setup is incorrect. Maybe graphical problems because this is demo disc no? My personal experience is that often demo discs not so good compared with release discs.

I stopped by another Walmart this week and the picture was crystal clear, the other one was definitely setup wrong.

I saw one at my Walmart and I must say the demos looked pretty bad. The picture was poor quality; the color and contrast were completely off and especially under the flourescent lighting it looked quit horrible. That said I found the lack of AA in Kameo to be an eye-sore on an otherwide beautiful game. Here's to hoping that the final product as at least 2x AA.

COD2 looked like the PC version and I think it was a poor demo choice for the kiosk because the action starts out slow. King Kong...meh, enough said there.

Over all I think it is a poor demo disk. I would have had PGR3 and NBA 2K6 (not that I like basketball or would play it, but many would) playable were it my choice. I think this goes to show that the suits in whatever department decides those things are clueless. It's unfortunate that the demo disks for the 360 have not imporved over the ones for the Xbox1. A pity really.

I agree. A demo disc is supposed to get people pumped up about the console, but in this case because of the poor choice of games and poor quality I left thinking that I don't want a Xbox360 anymore. They would have been better off imo not even providing a demo console until they had some decent games to show off.

I can’t wait as the next demo disc that the ms rep said we’d have by the 15th will have pdz , pgr 3 an updated cod demo and a updated kameo video along with newer trailers of other games. Apparently this will come with the xbox 360 also (though the rep didn’t tell us this ) . Some toysrus stores have also gotten in core units .

I NEED to see PD0 before pulling the trigger on it.

I'm only buying it for multi player and I'm really hoping it surprises me.

I did notice a fair amount of aliasing, but honestly I was having a hard time concentrating on graphics items because CoD2 is just a very intense game! I found myself being drawn into the action instead of critiquing textures, AA, etc.

Well there was one Sat. in Thousand Oaks (I was at the new Apple store opening getting a new iPod), and it was running some title at roughly 720p on an LCD in an EB... Didn't stick around too much to watch though, 'cause there was a crowd of kids around it...

It's not that there's anything wrong with these games. COD2 is flat out amazing. But it's not like anything we haven't seen before which what I expect from a new console.
Remember when the Dreamcast launched, the games were way ahead of anything on the PC. So what has changed since then?

Well first you have to explain what you mean by when the dreamcast launched. Northa america and europe got the dreamcast 6+ months after its launch .

Same goes with ps2 . What was the quaity of the games that the ps2 really launched with. Remember it launched in japan about 8 months before north america and europe got the systems .


This is the way its allways been except with ms . They are a usa company and they launch in north america first .

As an importer i see nothing wrong with the launch titles. In fact i think they are the best launch titles i've ever seen
