X800 XT Delayed?

I was think ATi is gonna wait for faster RAM being available. But given the 500/1000 speed, it's not likely to be the case.

I think the Inquirer have now managed to cover every possible combination of events that could possibly arise regarding the X800's launch. I guess if you bet on every horse in the race you always pick a winner, eh? ;)

I'm sorry , these companies DO NOT PLAY GAMES with release dates like this. We've heard at least 3 announcement dates for X800 (whatever) and it's getting ridiculous.

hehe, there is certainly nothing "given" about that..

Apparently ATi managed to fix those four broken pipes. Good on them, I say.

;^)

The important question is FROM WHO did you hear theses releases dates ? From ATI or the inq ?

To the best of my knowledge, which was updated today from Toronto, Fudo's post is misguided as of this moment.

Maybe the next update will reveal that ATI has decided against the delay and is going on ahead of schedule *shrug*.

Well there are a few dates fudo hasn't picked yet. I am sure he isn't done buying squares on the board yet.

Very well, Dave, but would it also be misguided to speculate that ATI is seeing a better-than-expected yield of chips with 16 functional pipes and that it has decided to scrap the 12-pipe part and launch the X800 Pro as its 16-pipe enthusiast card (with relatively conservative clocks), to be followed by a core boost and faster GDDR3 (X800 XT) in the fall? :D
