What is, in your opinion, the acceptable size for a HD screen that warrants buying a HD-DVD drive?
I watch a 26" CRT SDTV from about two and a half meters - that would be 8 feet for citizens of Her Majesty - and I definitely could use some more resolution on it. I haven't seen HDTVs smaller than that.
I'd probably consider 26" to be on the small side personally.
Yes, more resolution helps at any size, but the difference is more noticeable on larger screens, which is more an effect of larger screens showing faults in SD pictures more vividly than smaller screens rather than smaller screens not showing the benefits of HD.
I was thinking more along the lines of people who use monitors for 360 HD output though alongside those who use SD screens and might not understand that the HD-DVD drive will really achieve nothing for them.
Purely personally I wouldn't have considered an HD screen of smaller than 32" and currently have a 40" screen until I manage to make space for something larger, but I've been spoilt on larger screens for years anyway.
