WRC2 was great, looking forward to see how WRC3 turns out.

bloody hell... i've been very very close to buying WRC or WRC2 but never really got to get any of the 2... the panoramic shot is mighty impressive...
although they clearly are touched up.... WRC2 looked absolutely great, best rally game IMO... wil have to get this one.... when is it out?

I doubt these screens are touched up. WRC2 in itself was already very impressive and had a panorama view that isn't much worse looking than seen in the above screenshot. There's even some aliasing on the screen... :?

All in all, I'm quite looking forward to this. I was quite close into buying WRC2, but then passed it up since a friend had got it and something just didn't come out the way I was hoping. Strange this is, I wouldn't even be able to say what exactly bugged me. Perhaps it just came across as boring and the steering was a bit wierd. Maybe I should have played it with the GTForce......

The second image is definitely touched up, it's just too clean to be from any of current consoles. It's possibly from an intro. There are many other pictures in the www.evos.net site that are definitely from a prerendered intro.

The other screens are just the standard 'a little cleaned up devkit shots' but I believe they represent what you'll see on tv (in prog scan possibly very close) pretty well.

yes the second picture is in no way being produced by a PS2 u can find in the shops.
the pictures are quite small so i wouldnt say there's a whole lot of AA-touch-up in them.
the games always looked better than the competition (never liked Colin). the draw distance is just unbelievable, and the detail is also quite impressive... even the first one was already quite impressive, and it got better with WRC2, and also WRC3...

hum, the second picture is not a screenshot but real life footage. I thought that was clear... ;)

no it's not real!! it must be some prerendered video or something, it looks waaaaayyyy too CGI to be real...

london-boy: have you played WRC or WRC2? I doubt that Evolution Studios changed the overall presenation style of the game. WRC and WRC2 both had real ralley footage through out the game, for example as part of the intro or course introduction. I haven't seen any prerendered stuff from them in any WRC game as of yet, which makes it pretty clear to me that the above screenshot is in fact off one of those real world sequences... :?

This is obviously not game graphics - but on real life simply doesn't have lines as straight as these ones...

Wether it is CG intro (and you are right, the other two WRC's haven't got any) or super-touched up from in-game I don't know.

Anyway, WRC3 looks awesome - and the actual game will look better than it does in screenshots. The first two did...

yeah it's pretty obvious that's not real. notice the motion blur on everything apart from the car, which has completely perfect edge. that means that the "camera" is following the movement of the car PERFECTLY.... a REAL camera (and cameraman) could never even hope to follow the motion of the car so perfectly not to produce any motion blur. it's pretty much impossible....

The car is definitely pre-rendered or rendered in game and touched up. It's not a picture of reality in any way, the colors just do not match up.
