The interesting point in that demo is not that Windows runs on ARM, but that MS chose an ARM to demonstrate some new software technology. Certainly not a love message to Intel

it's a way of showing that Windows 8 will be a more mobile friendly OS like Android & iOS

Certainly, but they could have shown all of that on Atom, which they didn't.

Current Windows runs on Atom. Running on ARM opens up an entire swath of hardware heretofore unavailable to Windows.
