Well MS has alot to push with Xenon, so I'll say MS. But Sony and Nintendo should have their next-gen guns blazing too. Personally I'm more excited about what Sony has to show, just because PS is my system of choice. Regardless, It will be a great E3!

This question is asked every year and every year no one can agree.
According to some, Nintendo has had the best E3 showing for the last 4 years, sounds like Nintendo really knows how to throw a party, huh?
All nintendo needs to do is show some more footage of Zelda and every nintendo fanboy will drop to their knees.

Sony... PSP, PS2 (Still gaming life) and PS3. Nothing tops that!

except actual playable next gen games :D

True... but will X2 and Rev have playble next gen games as well? If not then I'll stick with my original statement. :devilish:

I am actually more excited about up coming PSP titles than the PS3 for exactly that reason... but anticipation to something new and exciting like the PS3 is always good... :D

Whoever keeps the most surprises that are positive.

Nintendo has a bona fide killer starting point: Zelda. If they just have Zelda there and playable, they can't go far wrong. A GBA2 showing would be a big plus for them. Plus, of course, the Revolution which could be bittersweet thing like the DS. If it's not playable (which it won't be) it stands the chance of looking like an unwanted (or, perhaps, overhyped) innovation.

Sony has lots of PSP stuff to cover, I'd assume. And I can't see how any of that could be bad news. And they'll be covering the tail end of the PS2's reign which is also positive. And they will have the PS3 to show which, barring an unforseen twist, will almost certainly be a huge plus for them.

MS is the trickiest one, IMO. All their eggs are in one basket. That makes their job easier but it also makes it far riskier. Nintendo can stand the Revolution looking unappealing if they pump up DS, Zelda and GBA2 interest. But MS really has nothing to show about the Xbox (save Conker, I think). It's all X2. It has to appear sleek, powerful, attractive, not behind the PS3 and it has to look like it has a full head of steam. Any appearance of not having it all together and next gen will start with the PS3.

Lol, did microsoft have playable games at the E3 before Xbox's launch?
Surely most will remember the unpolished presentation of most Xbox games at E3 2001 (Halo at 15 fps, anyone?). Both Nintendo and Sony predicted very bad things for MS after that showing, as did some journalists.

It seems like a lot of people have forgotten how unsure everyone was about the Xbox. It was a lot closer to doom than you might think if you just look at the market today.

True, psp and ps3 is quite a double punch. Can't argue with your pick. I imagine there will be quite a few surrises on top of all the stuff we assume will be there. A revolutionary nintendo system. Unannounced next gen titles. Im getting giddy now.

I don't think there'll be playable games from any PS3, "Revolution" or xbo2.
Not playable for the bublic at least, but I'm sure there'll be those staged "playable" games... and a bsod ;)

From sheer quantity it looks safe to say Sony will have the most impressive show, and the PS3 will get the most media attention, that's for sure.

Nintendo might also have a good show, DS has been a success and the mysterious "Revolution" has raised the intrest of many. Nintendo might surprise positively.

Looking past the E3's, the MS showings have been somewhat lacklustre (imo), with not much else exciting but Halo's and every year a new Gran Turismo wannabe game. "Xenon" hardware and demos will be interesting to see, and I'm sure they'll have a next gen Halo concept to show.
I'm just a bit worried based on the recent J. Allard interviews that they concentrate too much hyping the "Live" (old), "HD-Era" (errr..) and "Microtransactions" (not something to fascinate the public).

But Steve Ballmer could still save it for MS with a successor to his "developers" hit, "Steve Ballmer: Microtransactions 2005" (that sounds like some Ibiza summer party super DJ hit mix :) )

Nintendo should officially unveil the DS online service. Show how it will work, its interface and features and a list of online enabled games (Mario Kart possibly, Animal Crossing definitely). They will of course show a lot of info on Revolution, a list of launch games (with videos of some of them), some specs and possibly some of its key features. Zelda will be playable, Mario 128 will be either playable for GC or in video form as one of the future Revolution launch games. I'd also expect quite a few suprise GC and DS games. But I don't see a GB2 being shown.

Obviously I personally expect Nintendo to have the best show because they offer the things I am most interested in. But even outside of Nintendo I'm just really excited about E3 in general. Sony, MS and Nintendo are all going to have so much to show and I just can't wait!! :D

"Steve Ballmer: Microtransactions 2005" (that sounds like some Ibiza summer party super DJ hit mix )

I can see it now.. Steve Ballmer lolloping around the stage for half an hour sweating profusely, punching his hand repeatedly, and screeching "Micro transactions, Micro transactions, Micro transactions, Micro transactions, Micro transactions, Micro transactions, Micro transactions". That would be great! :)

How much would you pay for Micro transactions? DON'T ANSWER THAT! Wait until you hear that Micro Transactions include Reversi! YES!! REVERSI!!!!! [head explodes]

it depends more on cleverness than anything else. You can have the weakest specs but impress the ost. Just put a lot of explosions and loud noises and your sold!

An note that people are all hyped at these super conventions. If Sonic jumps, people will scream saying “jumping!! Jumping!! IN_GAME!!â€￾

gameplay wise? Microsoft with Xenon.

they have to, because they're launching this year.

Exactly, Xenon games will be playable. Plus, they'll have to create a big buzz if they really plan on launching this fall....

"have to" doesn't make your show the best. all three "have to" impress people. the question is who will do it more?
