Which machine do you expect to be most powerful?

- the budget MS/Sony/Nintendo is willing to allocate to different areas of their respective console, and to their respective console as a whole
- what retail price point MS/Sony/Nintendo is targeting
- what multimedia extras MS/Sony/Nintendo decides to include in their respective console
- etc. ...
Obviously my comment took many things for granted. However, at same price point, the one that will come out last will be the most powerful, design technologies or not... Because in the end, the biggest plague of consoles (amount of RAM) will still be there, and the last one to come out will likely have more RAM.
CPU power (the second biggest plague) will be the wild card. It's to be seen what 3 PPCs can do compared to the BE.

I expect the PS3 to be the most powerful, at least in it's market penetration.
This is a stupid poll, as this whole Console Forum is mostly about "Which console do you think is/will be the most powerful".

To be honest it got ugly only because they turned into a current-gen flaming war, how PS2 can't do textures, how Xbox can't get nice framerates, how GC is kiddy... It's always like that...
It's very much an artist dependant thing.
Feature-rich doesent automatically equal the most beautiful.
A game using all the effects the hardware allows just for sake of showing off, will very likely look otherwise artistically disappoiniting.

Yes, that is true, but at the end of the day extremely skilled artists will be able to get more out of a particular console than another, there are plenty of ugly Xbox games that I'm sure are using every effect its able to do, but the machine is capable of the most beautiful and feature-rich graphics if skilled artists pushed it to its maximum potential.
It's not all about graphics. I think people need to get it into their heads that we need solid physics and animation. Shiny graphics only gets you so far.

Then, I'm sure there'll be absolutely no discernable differences between next gen consoles. All of them (and even current gen) will be able to render an equally beautiful graphic, if no animation is needed.
Well, if the title of the thread is "what console will have the most features", then we're back to square one: the one that comes out last, most certainly.
The titles is "what do u think will be the most powerful console". It's different...
And if you want good games, a FFTSW graphics with FFX physics scenario is not gonna be very pretty.
