Yo Kats, you still alive? EA been keeping you locked in a cellar never letting you guys out? 8)
Anyway yeah, TGS booth babes are better, the rest of the show is kind of more bang/bigger at E3 though.
As for games, I really liked Capcom stuff - from the things on the floor to what they showed upcoming.
RE4 looks great, Vietifull Joe was just too cool, as was Gregory Horror Show (not only the concept, but the game looked very solid visually, especially shadowing).
Killer7 and Crimson Tears both look exceptional (likely my show favourites - ok so I'm a NPR whore), and it's especially nice to see them taking different direction in this time when every other game wants to be Doom3 realistic if it's not a GTA clone, or both.
Onimusha3 looks interesting too, if a bit too high on gore for my taste... Group S Challenge was also a nice surprise, probably the smoothest looking racer on the showfloor - granted the other biggest contenders were all far from finished state yet (and of course I'm not counting stuff off the floor
).
Other then that, the movie of E3 was clearly MGS3, followed closely by Doom3. I figure Halo2 was close there too but I didn't have the patience to wait in queue for that one.
Speaking of movies, Racing Evolution from Namco looked quite a bit better in the video showed then screens released prior, but I would still prefer if they made a Ridge Racer too.
Above all though, Billy Hatcher kicks ass
Dissapointments?
Well aside booth babes not really, except that maybe I will have to wait for online Smash Court longer then I'd like
Certain two racing games didn't leave any kind of strong impression on me but they are
a) quite uncomplete
and
b) technically competition
so it's all good
As for Sonic Heroes, I'll reserve my right not to comment this time.
Well that's about all I can remember right now
