Talking about games that haven't been made in awhile not games like sonic or panzer dragoon .

I'm just wondering cause sega has such a history of great games and we really haven't seen them use those ips well . So here is a list of the games . If you vote other let us know why and which game

DAAYYYYYYYTOOOOONA!!

Actually, if they want to compete with a Daytona they better get it out quick with a slick engine and sweet graphics. GT, Forza, NFS, PGR, Burnout, NASCAR, etc... really have a tight grip on the market. A lot of features and cool niches. Sega would need to really hit a home run with it, and then followup with a sequal with a ton more features.

Anyhow, if it was good I would buy it!

STREETS OF RAGE! Definitely...

I absolutely loved that game on my GameGear...

Sega RPG's... Panzer Dragoon Saga, Phantasy Star (not online).

Jet Set Radio 3 would be great too, love the style in that game.

Rally deserves its own voting catagory....

But My fave would be ....

do do dood doo doo dood od de do dooooooooooooooooo..........

DAY-TOW- NAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaa

LETS FLY AWAY !!!!!!!!!!!!

Only in japan could they come up with such bad lyrics !!! LOL

and what about the expert track song...

Blue blue skies, Blue blue skies I see.
I wanna Fly sky high, laa de daaa.... etc etc.

GOD DAMN IT... the golden years of gaming... after pumping 20 quid in daytona... Id go home and waste the rest of my life on mario Kart, street fighter II turbo, and reading mags about N64 delays !!

AWESOME !!

Sega Rally is on its way to PS2 or already did.

Daytona is not discounted, but it may not be its own game. It may come in a compilation of games.

NiGHTS isn't out of the question, I guess it depends on if Yuji Naka thinks the shaders in either X360 or PS3 are capable of doing what he wants.

SEGA has RPG's coming, just wait and see. PS5 may have been in the pipeline forever but I see no reason why not go forth with it. A new Panzer Dragoon RPG would be nice, or so it seems.

A real Sonic the Hedgehog game would be nice. I would cry if a new Sonic game came out as good as the oneson the Genesis.

Streets of Rage is a definite possibility. And I'm not talking about Spike Out.

I would love to see a new Golden Axe game, completely rendered in 3D and actually have classic gameplay.

.

If nights was doable on the saturn, in terms of his vision. then i cant see why next gen consoles wont suffice for an update?

2.5 gens down the line.

Saturn > Dreamcast 1 gen.
dreamcast > xbox 0.5 gen.
XBOX > 360 1 gen.

The guy might want to do something that still isn't feasible... Sounds far fetched to me, but well if he's a loon that might be the case...

Oh well that's different, i do type quite fast and... do nothing at work...

But anyway, to be on topic, i really don't think Daytona would interest me now, with the market being as over-saturated with amazing racing games as it is today...

Nights would be awesome. And a GOOD Sonic game, as good and fresh and simple and everything as the very first Sonic on Genesis.

Panzer Dragoon has been done on Xbox and it looked amazing, i guess we've already got a "new" PD...

Sega have pretty much re-released all their old games already, sometimes more successfully than others.

I'd love to see Golden Axe Next Gen made properly, but seen how they've handled the remake, i really should watch what i wish for.

Yes Golden axe would be cool.

I think a sonic which isnt just a sonic adventure, but somhow mixes some old school gameplay with new school engines? maybe asking too much?

Streets of rage, Well, Ive wasted many a week on that series, and who could forget how good the sound tracks were for the time, perhaps a new title with some breakbeat / house / trance tunes would be very cool. Kinda like what wipeout did for racing games?

Anyhow, we all agree sega has some ridiculously good IP that is untapped or under used?

Come on sega !

You have to think that we used to have lots of fun with those games years and years ago when we demanded much less.

Sega have tried to re-release "PS2-gen" games based on those old franchises and miserably failed.

They might have good IPs but they really need to get their games up to the standards we've become accustomed to in recent years.

I mean, Altered Beast, Golden Axe and a few other titles on PS2 were just embarrassingly bad.

I think they did a great job with Outrun 2.

But then AM2# and associated employees, always were the best game coders the world had to offer (arguably).

> AM2 > VF series / Daytona / Virtua cop / Virtua racing / Shenmue / Scud race / F355 challange. (the firewall on my internet connection prevents me from finding more on the list or validating these entries)

Yu Suzuki, LEGEND !

JSR and Nights.
I really don't get why they didn't at least do easy ports to PSone and PS2 of those games. Especially JSR has the potential to do really well on PS2, I think.
Burning Rangers I never tried, but the few screens I've seen of it looks amazing.
Sega is sitting on so much great IP that just doesn’t get used properly, it's maddening to think about.

JSR was already released on xbox . and was a very nice game , i enjoyed it a lot (but i dont think it sold a lot)
the problem is most of those older games loos their magic when they release a newer version of it. it lacks .... eh nostalgia :)

JSR was a much superior game to JSRF and that, in my case, has little to do with nostalgia as I played JSR only last year.
Even the music in JSR I liked better, though most people seem to think that is only aspect of JSRF where it is better than JSR.
It was big mistake to take out time limits and interactive tagging. But the whole soul and style of the game, seems watered down when you compare the two games.
I don't really think xbox was the right platform for a "different" game such as JSRF. The userbase for the xbox is too small and has to differing taste in games to accommodate such a title.
