Starting to get excited about upcoming Nightwish double album Human :||: Nature (it was supposed to be single album, but they ran out of space on a single disc so they had to split it into two, but it ended up working really well with first CD concentrating on human(nature) and latter to nature(nature).
Noise feels like obvious single pick, but Harvest is a curious one, especially with Troy doing most of the singing.
Time for some TK, Turmion Kätilöt's new album Global Warning came out
(is this a new trend that even big labels put new albums out for free on YouTube immediately? First Nightwish, now TK (freshly signed to Nuclear Blast)
edit: the first songs video in the link could be considered "not safe for work"
I do like songs that are about something
The Song relates the story of the Wizard, an astronomer who becomes "obsessed with the idea of flying" and enslaves a vast army of people to build him a tower from which he can take off and fly.The people hope for the day when their misery comes to an end, building the tower in harsh conditions. In the end, the wizard climbs to the top of the tower but, instead of flying, falls down and dies
The next song on the album,"A Light in the Black", continues the story of the people who have lost all purpose after the Wizard's death "until they see the Light in the Dark",
