I've been listening to Between the Buried and Me on a consistent basis for almost three months, now. If you've ever read me talk about music, I consider myself to be a pretty big metal head, but was never really fond of American metal. There's only a handful of American metal bands that I enjoy, but they don't leave a lasting impression like a lot of the other non-American bands I listen to. However, North Carolina's own BTBAM, is incredible. "The Great Misdirect" is possibly one of the greatest albums I've ever heard. I saw them live a few years ago, they were a middle act along with Opeth for Dream Theater called "The Progressive Nation Tour." It was the first time I ever saw them live, and due to the duration of their music, which is typically at least ten minutes per song, they only played two tracks, due to a half an hour set. I was fucking blown away and rushed out to buy "Colors", which I think comes close second to "The Great Misdirect." Guitarist's Paul Waggoner and Dustie Waring are lethal combinations. Waggoner has quickly risen to one of my favorite lead guitarists, ever.

Anyway, they're coming back to my state and headlining in October, playing "The Parallax II: Future Sequence" in it's entirety. I'm really looking forward to seeing them again.

Just discovered Pokey Lafarge, I've to say I like it a lot, good old American music and America as I like it :)

Other than that I listened to some material from Robert Fripp, his ambiance stuffs, and it was really nice too.
