What Is Sony Announcing On Tuesday?

It's through the web browser. Sounds like a youtube type site. I think they'll have a hard time competing with youtube HD. They do have some quality control for their content, so it may be a good place to get "specialty" stuff.

Cool. Been trying to use the BBC PS3iPlayer (official) and sometimes it works - other times it just never loads and is stuttery. Don't think it's my broadband.

Not hopeful about their web-based business model. Perhaps the codec can be licensed out. Would be nice if they share some performance figures.
