What happened to Gran Tourismo 4?

The first one of those was a "grand prix" racer--Super Sprint--with no turbos, but the ability to upgrade your car between rounds (acceletarion, top speed, steering). The next one, Off Road, continued in the same vein but with funkitty courses and turbo boosts. (In fact I always through Off Road was done by the same people, but it doesn't seem like it was now. Wonder how they got away with that? Heh...)

Damn fun, the both of them! :D

An update for you guys.. I got an XBOX, and here are my first impressions (yes I know I am wayyyyyyyy late):

The console itself is big. A PC in a box with a nice case.

The controllers are the old type and are too big for my hands (I got the XBOX second hand so I could 'experiment' with it). I have bought myself a brand new 's' type controller though.

The games I got are: Ninja Gaiden, Fifa Soccer 2004, Sega GT2002.

Ninja Gaiden was the first one I tried as it is the newest (I think) and I was gob smacked. It is utterly gorgeous and silky smooth. Got to the first Ninja Mansion and then gave up. So far so good!

Fifa Soccer 2004...look nice plays ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Nuff said.

Sega GT2002, I remember playing this on the Dreamcast and I hated it. On the XBOX however it is bloody marvellous. Played a few Quick Laps with it and I am in love.

I got the XBOX so I could mod it etc, once that is done I am ready to play my DivX and Xvid stuff (finally) without hauling my monster of a PC around the living room. I wont be going Live on it ever so that doesnt matter.

Whatever anyone thinks of the XBOX it is damn impressive and it's no wonder MS will never make any money on the hardware... it is faster at playing games than most PC's and it is a damn PC in disguise ;)

Now people I want some recommendations! PGR2 is on my list already (of course) and so is Top Spin (great multiplayer action).

Any games you guys think the missus will like?! She doesnt play games but I can tell she was pleasantly surprised at the ugly thing!! In a word I was blown away much more so than when I had my PS2 bootup the first time (now sold) and much more so than my teeny GC.

Finally: One GC for sale ... :devilish:

Edit: GT4.. wassdat?!

Crimson Skies is a really great game, both single and multiplayer, and if you want some more racing games check out the videos at those links I already posted. It didn't get very good reviews, but I personally love Quantum Redshift, still some of the best graphics on Xbox and the later stages are unbelieveably fast, plus it can be found for really cheap. Jet Set Radio Future and Panzer Dragoon Orta are also very good, but are niche titles so you might want to try them out first.
