What games would you like to see on psp?

I would like to see a god of war like game. I think psp needs some action games. That's where psp will excel.

David Jaffe has said that his team is developing a PSP game (GoW? Doubt it.)

I want a decent FPS with GoldenEye N64 style controls...

i gotta admit, im kinda jealous that nintendo has a gunstar heroes title. i would love one for the psp.

and...while not really a game, i would love for a company/dev/homebrew maker to put some more use to the psp headset instead of just for socom. VOIP anyone? :p

I hope so. I also love huge gta size levels. so a slower paced game with those size level would be great.

I don't own a PSP, but I would probably pick one up instantly if a disc was available that put 20+ classic games at my fingertips. Tetris, naturally, but some classic style shooters with decent graphics (that probably means "Defender 2005" or something like that). Something to make it a great time killing device at airports. Something that can be picked up and put down quickly. This probably goes against the innovative and technical prowess that PSP wants to demonstrate, but you gotta cover your bases, right?

Just to make it clear: The idea is to have several games that are simple to kill time with (no quarters, yay!) and no swapping game/disc. Pop it in, choose one and go. Didn't feel like playing Astroids? Play Pac-Man, Hangman, Poker, or whatever.

A decent MarioKart style karting game. The screen and WiFi is ideal for it, but no-one's managed to match the N64 version for brilliant playability despite many, many clones.

Port of ICO.

A really good FPS. Handheld FPS's are one of the next big things, I'd say. Metroid Prime Hunters should rock, and the PSP needs a competitor.

Is there a Castlevania game coming for the PSP? CV is one of the strongest handheld franchises of the last few years.

Some damned RPG's.. (although everybody knows that..)

Step-by-step guide:
- Buy PSP
- Install Emulators (for a gazillion of platforms) and homebrew games (!!)
- Fun.

i'd like to see a game like top secret episode. something with a decent story and lots of variety, even if it's linear.

Metroid Prime.. but thats not possible. :)
MSG (non-ACID)
DMC

Are there any games pushing the HW that you know of?

Sounds like fun, but I dunno about modding Sony stuff (*cough*). The last thing I would want is a headache from "need this firmware for that and that firmware for that." It has to be brainless. Thinking kills the whole idea. Maybe I have the wrong idea about compromising other features to allow homebrew, but that's what I gathered.

This is almost exactly what I was talking about. None of them seem to have been released yet, though. Another thing is that these look like straight (and true!) conversions of the classic games. While this can be fun, I am unsure I would really like to play most of those. I like the idea of 80s and 90s aracade games, but not necessarily the actual games anymore. That's what I meant with an updated "Defender 2005". Take those basic gaming concept but give them a facelift, add some cool visual and sound effects. Bring it into 2005 (portable style).

Thanks for the links though. I will defenitely be following that.

i agree more simple games and more puzzle games would be nice.

anybody remember the ps2 launch title fantavision? i was one of the few who actually liked the simple puzzle game, i think it would go perfect with the style of the psp. wifi with it could be fun.
