What are you playing now? [2007-2018]

GTAIV. I am sure I saw Vic Mackie from "The Shield" on the side road repairing his car. He just looked so alike.

You could try Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior, but then again it sucks ;)

Hehe, played it. It wasn't so bad that it sucked, but it was certainly seriously lacking. I think I still have it around here somewhere. No desire to replay it however. :D

I still remember the first Warhammer 40k game I played on PC. Space Hulk. That was fun. Sucked when those damn tyrannids got into melee though. Grrrr...

I actually liked some aspects of Firewarrior. Boring as hell shooting action and riddled with bugs (like that crash early on that prevented anyone with an ATi card from progressing in the game), but I liked the 'atmosphere' of some areas. Some levels seemed absolutely massive and made me feel like I was actually moving through this huge battlefield. It was a lot like Chaser in that regard... The game WORLD felt big.

But yes otherwise it was rather drab and extremely forgettable.

Heh. I am still playing City of Heroes almost exclusively. Now my main character has almost completely maximized his defense, at least against opponents with no accuracy buffs, which most do not. And for those few opponents that have mild accuracy buffs, I can bump his defense way up with a power that can only be used once every few minutes. So yeah, most of the time this character is nearly unstoppable, despite only being a class with medium defense.

Now I just need a few more enhancements, and my character will be finished...

Have you tried any of the new powersets from the latest issue? I still my CoH/CoV account is still going, I'm sorta curious about pain domination. Also not sure how the whole 'profession' thing works.

No, I haven't. Honestly, I've hardly tried out any of the original powersets, let alone the new ones.

As for the 'day jobs', they're just small bonuses you get for logging out in certain areas. Nothing spectacular. The nicest part of the whole thing is that they finally have it so that you accrue an experience bonus the longer you're logged out.

I'm finally pushing my way through Prey (PC) after getting a free copy over 2 years ago :p Lot's of fun playing a run-of-the-mills corridor shooter again. Outside of that I need to beat Mirror's Edge (PC) however for the current bit I'm at, I'll have to enable the PhysX because it's just too heavy at that part of the game. And as always I put a few hours into BF2 because I want my P90, though after 3 years of playing the damn game, my combined score from my 3 accounts still is barely 30,000. God, ranking up in BF2 takes forever.

Finished World at War last night. Probably going to pick up Warhammer: Dawn of War 2 tomorrow with my last Christmas gift card. And of course there's always LOTRO. . .got my minstrel to 60th level this weekend.

Playing a little bit of GTAIV with Crysis Wars as the main focus. Planning on starting to play Witcher for real.

Someone lent me a copy of Operation Thunderstorm. It's a bit of fun mindless FPS WWII gaming. Sometimes just a basic, no-frills, FPS is fun for passing the time.

They also gave me their copy of Shellshock II. I was actually looking forward to this. A Vietnam era FPS with horror elements. That is until I played it. Ugh, I couldn't get past the sluggishness and uncontrollability of the game to even get through the first level. Such a disappointment. I don't think I'm going to pass this onto another poor fellow, rather I'll be using it the next time I take my 357 magnum out for some target practice...

Ah well, tomorrow I'll give happily playing DoW II. Can't wait...

Is DoW II not already available? According to Steam it's available now or is that just bait?

I ordered mine through Gamespot so I could get the 2 preorder bonus sets. There was not even 1 preorder bonus set for the Steam one, otherwise I'd have gotten that.

What's nice is that since they are using Steam as their DRM, once you register the game on steam, you can then download it from Steam in the future if you misplace or don't want to risk damaging your physical media in the machine.

Operation Thunderstorm aka Mortyr 3 ?

Heh, I had to go digging around, all the box said was Operation Thunderstorm. But evidently it's the 4th game in the Mortyr series? I didn't even know there was a series.

It's a bit bland, but it's mindless FPS fun. Something that I can jump into quickly, shoot some baddies and just as quickly hop out and get about my other business.

SB

4th ?
not 3rd ?

ps: if your thinking of playing other games in the series I wouldnt bother

if you want something similar but better try ubersoldier
