Wow, it actually looks quite realistic as well - given ears are fairly translucent in terms of light. That or Drake's ear flush when he's murdering people..

Those overly detailed stuff for 3rd person game... probably they have nice LOD system to accomodate that? or they just brute force it and have the high quality detail all the time even when the camera is in 3rd person? The amount of details no one will ever even notice due to the fast action is pretty incredible. I guess that's where photo mode comes in.

I swear he's got some kind of Google alert for anybody using the word "realistic" in the console forums!!! There, I've summoned him again.
Yes London-boy, I agree with you that Uncharted 4 is getting pretty close to the CGI you see in movies now. This is indeed very true. It's quicker if you write "A Console Game Looks Good". He appears like Beetlejuice.
I'm pretty sure VFX_Veteran's protestations are the ludicrous amount of illumination coming off that muzzle flash. There just wouldn't be enough to light anything, let alone cause the ears to glow.Wow, it actually looks quite realistic as well - given ears are fairly translucent in terms of light.
It's definitely a stylized effect and i wouldn't exactly call it realistic but i think it looks great.
I was really talking about how the ears glow in reaction to the light, rather than the light from the muzzle.
But I'm happy to swap "realistic" for "kick ass"! As London-boy said, one of a thousand details you'll never notice while playing because you're trying to nail that guy over there.
