Uncharted 3

One of the review article mentioned that there's a new game mode called Drake's Killer Clown after beating the game.
Basically a CoD zombie mode but "so much more".
But none of the other reviews mentioned it so I'm not sure how legit the info is.

i guess I'm gonna have to put my pc aside and play Uncharted 3. I think it's the best franchise on consoles this gen. All the aspects in their games come together so very well that it actually feels like taking part in a adventure and forgetting it's a game. And "that polish", a lot of damn work when in, that's for sure.

I don't want to read any reviews to avoid spoilers, just find it funny because it stands out I guess. Like same score as Dynasty Gundam warrior 3 which is more of the same as the rest of the billion of those musou games.

I just read the IGN review and the very beginning has an unintentional spoiler!! I won't read any more now but just want to say. W00T W00T!!

I just read top and tails of that review, and a few comments. Seems to be saying that it's more of the same, and as it's not improving on U2, only warrants an 8/10. If you're getting a whole different story tbough, which is what U3 is about, then you want the same game. I don't think the multiplayer or coop has been factored in at all which is unfair.

The online portion should be pretty elaborate. I didn't understand all of it during the beta. ^_^

Hopefully they give me a simple co-op mode. I can be quite dense in games, especially game UI and concepts. :runaway:

It was factored in at the end with a couple quips about longevity. He also said the main campaign was peerless.

I'm starting to think the clown mode is fake :(
The most likely will be Co-op mode in Crushing, the enemies will be replaced with clowns.

By the way, what the heck did Eurogamer do to their website?!?!?!?!

As you have figured out yourself, Uncharted 3 is a sequel much worthy of the series. Just as spectacular, whether technically or in terms of atmosphere, Naughty Dog's new creation is what every Indiana Jones fan has always dreamed of. Those who, like me, started fantasizing about living such adventures when playing Rick Dangerous or the different movie tie-ins of the 8bits/16bits era will be thrilled. Naughty Dog have managed to totally blend video games and movies together, making Uncharted 3 a very cinematic experience, but a game to play nonetheless. In that respect, they have managed to do what Hideo Kojima has failed to do with MGS 4, have the player play as much as live the story. For that, there's only one thing left to say: hats off!

From the Gamersyde Review. I did not read or see anything , just read the conclusion ! :)

sound about right, cinematic experience for games should be when you play the game, not watching a 40 mins cut scene then play the game for 15 mins.

mm... I don't mind cinematic experiences, but I'm just not seeing the replayability without a campaign co-op mode. Competitive MP was never high on my list of reasons for playing, and there's just something bizarre about their objective co-op mode that doesn't grab my attention compared to other games in similar genres. *shrug*

I think I'll just wait for a price drop.

replayability is there aslong the game exposes enough variation in your playstyle. you wont experience the story twice, but in game where you have enough wiggle room to deal with encounters in various ways you still can play sections for kicks.
U2 had alot sections which play out alot differently wheter you focus on ranged, close combat or stealth.

thats the nice think about Uncharted 2, the story is presented in an interactive cinematic way, yet the gunfights can stand on its own. you might not want to play scripted sequences again, but I dont see how the rest of the game is less replayable than others, just because its "cinematic".

U2 and R2 don't have campaign co-op, but I  both the co-op there. Simple, unique and elegant.

I think if U3 has a simple co-op mode, then it would be a good lead in for most players. If they throw the whole lot of bells and whistles at us, I suspect some will feel overwhelmed or irritated (They just want to shoot something together !).

So I'm curious to see how they have evolved since the beta. They seem to have tweaked the competitive MP.

Day one for me. It's one of the rare games I can play without my wife running away or grabbing a book. It is one of the most pure game enjoyment I've had, and a genre I find very satisfying (just like God of War 3): great graphics, great sound, great story, and great gameplay. If you get that much right, who cares that you don't have that much choice. Eurogamer's 8/10 being the lowest score the game has gotten so far out of 30+ reviews is enough for me to suggest that it will be at least as good as Uncharted 2, but with a new story, and that's basically all I'm hoping for.

All the multiplayer, and that has been refreshingly excellent so far, have played a lot of Uncharted 2 multi-player, is just icing on perfection. I look forward to this game (and I wish I could rent one of those Sony HMDs for it)! I even stopped playing the beta because I wanted as much of the game to be as fresh as possible.

The brilliance of Uncharted 2, that a lot of games need to learn from, is the pacing. The traversal sections provide the calm before the storm, and you need calm to make sure you notice the difference when the storm comes. Build up in that game is fantastic, and I hope Uncharted 3 is as good there as well.

+1 Arwin. The Unchartered series i can replay many times over. Never gets old, never gets boring. This one looks to be no difference, and for that i'm happy! For me, the best new IP to come out of this generation by a country mile. Can't wait for its release.
