Uncharted 3

I agree ! The grand finale could also be a huge battle (like RFOM). The enemies should have other attributes besides long health bar. :)

... we’re excited to detail the finer points of the UNCHARTED 3’s Buddy System and how it impacts the pacing and flow of competitive multiplayer matches.

In addition to good buddies, good booty will also make your multiplayer experience more layered and enjoyable. PlayStation.Blog spoke with Game Designer Robert Cogburn to learn more about how to make friends and earn treasure in UNCHARTED 3’s multiplayer experience. Check out this video for some in-depth information about buddies and treasure:

I don't know if it's a good thing, but MP games are getting more complex these days. I'm not sure if it will attract more people, or just confuse them -- in particular, those people who shunt MP may be pushed further away.

The setting isn't a problem. MGS type stuff is an option. Probably just don't have the time. Or it's an afterthought given everything else they're doing. They've mastered set pieces for example. Look at the plane or that RDR type skirmish they've got going on.

^_^ looking great ! Hopefully the MP hold up. This is another title affected negatively by Sony's beta. I am surprised Shuhei let this beta thing go on for so long. That EA exec realized it's a problem just after one BF3 beta. :)

Interview: Naughty Dog On Uncharted 3
http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2011/10/17/interview-naughty-dog-on-uncharted-3/

Kev Adsett: A hot topic at the moment is that of online passes and single-use codes unlocking segments of the game for players who buy the game brand new. What are your views on this, and do you guys have any similar plans?

Justin Richmond: Yeah, we’re supporting the, what’s it called?

Arne Meyer: Online pass.

Justin Richmond: Online pass system for Uncharted 3, and so what it means is that if you buy the game new, you get a code that you can enter and play the multiplayer online, and so for us, I think we’re offering a huge package, we’re offering a ton of content.

It’s not just some throw away death-match mode, we spent a ton of time developing this stuff. I think we’re offering something that’s completely different from anything else that’s in the industry; our gameplay is really different and really deep and it takes a long time to master.

We give literally thousands of hours of content in our online stuff and on top of that we give you not just competitive, but an entire co-op experience as well. There’s basically a whole alternate history, alternate version story in our co-op, and in this game they’re actually all tied together. All the co-op missions, of which there are even more, are all actually one continuous story, if you play them in the right order.

It’s all that stuff, and so in general, we’re giving out a huge amount of content, and part of the reason for the online pass is that when that stuff goes online, it isn’t free. We have to pay for servers and all this different stuff to maintain it, and so at some point, you know, games have to make money. It is a business, and we just wanna be able to continue to provide that kind of content. If Sony ever comes to us and says “You’re not making enough money on this, you need to cut it” or whatever, that’s not something that we want. We want to be able to maintain the level of quality of the product that we’re giving out.

Arne Meyer: We don’t want to sink the company with bandwidth costs!

Justin Richmond: Yeah exactly, and the other thing is that even if you do buy it used, it’s worth the price of that online pass just to get all that content, because there’s so much stuff. It’s either that or we offer online completely in its entirety also, so we have a complete offline package as well, so if you want to play the co-op with a friend, you can do that offline.

Also, the U3 Home mini-game should have been a treasure collection and trading game, plus score tracking, instead of trying to brute force third person shooter into PS Home.

Sheesh !

You can search the Harrison Ford TV ads on youtube.
Not gonna watch it as I'm trying to keep myself away from this game as much as possible till it arrives at my door :D

What exactly is spoilerish in it ? i mean is it related to the last Ad that was released recently. I haven't watched that, have watched everything else.

what's the issue? would you rather they didn't offer this and then 'trickle charged' $9 each for 4 map packs and $3 each for the 3 skin packs? You still have that option!

DLC was always going to end in tears, but for those who will play this alot online it's pretty good value...I mean - if you get the US CE + this it's $125, that as a package looks much better value than the MW3 $99 package :|

We have seen the scenes before. The spoilers are:
* The plane +
runway scene
* How we end up in the
desert
*
Burning
mansion

I  how they show Harrison Ford playing the game. Adds a human touch to the game. Reminds me of my grandpa before he left. ^_^

If this is a good ad for Japanese audience, I think it's a good example of the big differences between cultures, because I have a feeling this wouldn't fly in the U.S. at all. I could be wrong, but wow to me the game sells itself a lot better than this ... eh ... very exciting ... ad ... venture.

@3:10, Ford looks down at the controller. "I'm pressing the triangle button. Why isn't it working?" Very noob. :p You also see him, like so many more casual gamers, moving the controller in the direction he wants to affect things. No-one's capitalised on that, and the main impetus behind sixaxis creation has gone completely missed.

The actual vid itself is kinda dull. He hasn't much to say.
