Uncharted 3

Huh you mean for this game ? What happens if you put your PS3 in the DMZ ?

EDIT:
Best solution: Yell at Naughty Dog asap. It's an open beta, remember ?

Rumours that a Jak and Daxter HD collection is making its way into 2012. I would definitely get that, if its true, cos I never got to play any on my ps2 !

Hmmm...these HD collections are turning out to be better deals than most new games these days. I mean SOTC and ICO, MGS2,3 and Peace Walker, GOW1&2(especially if you haven't played them, they are awesome games) are so much more enticing than Oh so pretty shallow rides that most of the games are today.

Jak & Daxter was one of the first, if not the first console game that truly gave an impression of an open world. It had no loading times, or they were cleverly masked so that the game felt like a seamless world.

It also had top quality platforming and shooting.

Definitely one of my favorite games in PS2 era.

They really should make a new, current gen Jak & Daxter game.
There's a big hole the sice of J&D and R&C currently, and no games have been able to fill it.

Lets hope they are true 1080p and not just 720p. I tried for a long time to get my hands on Jak3, even after I had bought a ps3, but never could.
The games couls feel old now as they did not allow OTS aiming. But I think Jak3 has enough character to give a blast of a time!

There's a lot of Jak and Daxter in Uncharted still. Especialy some of the facial animations and expressions have a lot of Jak in them.
Guess they still have many of the same animators working, and that's a good thing, as J&D games were also well known for their splendid animation work.

R&C All-4-one is out. I checked out the demo in GameStop, plays pretty well. But my plate is too full now.

In terms of cartoon-like games, Sly Cooper is coming next year ?

I wish the Japanese studios bring their gems over. Ico is superb. Valkyria Chronicles and Monster Hunters are stuck in PSP land. Folklore and Majin didn't quite earn enough audience, etc.

Hoping for Ni No Kuni next.

The new update has a 1080p mode if you disable 720p. Looks a bit nice on my TV, but that might be due to the crappy TV scaler.

My router does not like U3 at all, when I plugged in my PS3 directly to my provider everything worked fine....

Totally agree, I loved J&D to bits - fantastic 'Mario quality' platformer - with some great comedy value to boot! I never played the follow-ups (no idea why!?) so it's be great to re-play another classic and catch up on what I missed! :)

I liked the Jak games back in the day, and while I'd love another platformer from Naughty Dog, I really don't want to step into he shoes of Jak again. In hindsight it's just one god-awful character design in my opinion (and Jak2 was kind of an unfocused mess . I'm down with a big budget Daxter game, though. That guy's cool.

Uncharted is loosely based in reality and thus rather crippled in gameplay options, most notable totally forget-able boss fights.
The Jak games were nice as they just had no reservation to add whatever helped the game, the hoverboard that you can take out almost anywhere and zip through previous areas is a good example.

well, I either need a J&D Collection or a new PSTwo model with HDMI and good upscaling

I'd say the forgettable boss fights had nothing to do with the game's more realistic approach. It was simply poor game design. I personally consider the tank level to be a proper boss that uses all the Uncharted game mechanics while putting on an extra layer of pressure. It's excellent too. Taking down the first chopper was fun as well (not so much the second one because stationary shooting galleries just stink in my opinion)
