Uncharted 3

Some of the shots show the potential for a really good looking game, but it's hard to tell how the visuals will actually come together because of the PR supersampling.

Look at the videos. ^_^

The screenshots are nice but most of them will be "invisible" to me because they are just backdrops/landscape.

All U3 screenshots released so far by Sony have been bullshots (added superhigh level of SSAA). But the game does indeed look like a winner.

looks like they are not going with FXAA? Some sub pixel level aliasing is very noticeable but the game IQ remain very sharp.

How are they doing those textures? Crytek struggle with decals and blend shaders and Naughty Dog just looks like they're painting different textures onto the models like you would do with terrain.

Crytek aren't a good reference point. They don't know how to work with the consoles, and their description of their approach to getting CryEngine 3 on consoles suggest it's far from optimised.

Does the trailer contain spoilers ? Saw some of the gameplay demo of Gamescom and the game seems to be turning into more of an adventure game than action-adventure, but thats cool considering how exciting ND makes it. But that. Hurts replayability a lot! Action portions are replayable but too much of story interruptions take away replayability considerably.
I am sure it will still be a great adventure and I'll love it  ! But if it is turning into that, one should be vary of spoiling it too much as if you already know too much you can't really enjoy the adventure !

Uncharted's replayability comes from the online game, surely? No story driven game has much replayability, IMO, so you have to design in other elements like alternative characters to play or branched endings.

& I really hate this in unchy... I mean, the game is so concentrated on the story to overlook the gameplay, no alternative way to replay, no horde or hardcore mode, just an interactive film experience. This is sad to me; every time I have finished it, I tries to replay but the boring is too much to continue...the MP simply not 'own' to unchy game, funny but not for me. My dream is an unchy with more exploration like tomb raider, more puzzle & platform (very platform, not schematic patch). But maybe will never seen something like that in this brand, a pity
