They gave me the money back after I threatened to go to the Magistrate Court. Really surprised it came to that. They acted like I had wronged them. :|

A refund on your credit/debit card isn't a "deposit" and can take a week or so to process. As mentioned, banks love to sit on those.

I mean the funds are now available in my account for me to spend on the Steam Halloween Sale.

Of course $50 isn't going to make or break my existence, but it could be the difference between me scoring a bunch of cool games for pennies on the dollar and, well, not doing that.
