Trials: evolution. [xbla]

You're still on Friends list.
My GT is Timberwolf25.

I tend to be competitive with the middle of the pack with joker, you and a few others. RobertR1 and Acert93 tend to be towards the top of the tracks I've played.

BTW, I wonder if sebbi is willing to play with our little group. I'm interested to see how we do against a dev.

That's weird. Maybe I accidentally marked Ban Bot as a rival or something? I heared on a podcast that's a feature where you only get to see your Rival's scores.

I think it is only your rival's ghost when you select, in the game, if you select the option to show rival only. I have Isomac as my Rival and he is in Red on the leaderboards, I am yellow, and every other friend white. (Thinking of changing Robert to my rival just to irritate him lol).

Anyways, you should see all your friends on the friends leaderboard. Timber is off saving the world so I don't think he has posted many times yet. And yes, many people drop others who don't play often as they hit the 100 player market (or 200 now?) You don't play much on the 360 so that makes you an easy target to drop.

BTW, waiting for Joshua to post the results of those are participating.

RESULTS: Trials Challenge Week 1 (Monday April 30th - Sun May 6th): Gas Problem (Skill Game)

PHP:
1. Acert93 483m
2. Gerry 444m
3. Robert 333m
4. BadTB25 305m
5. Rotmm 267m
6. Scott_Arm 197m
Trials Challenge Week 2 (Monday May 7th - Sun May 13th): Warehouse 28

And just so everyone knows where we stand as of right now with 6 full days left (i.e. everything will change, but to motivate some of you slackers to get on there and to play!):

PHP:
1. Acert93 00 faults 1:09
2. Robert 05 faults 1:22
3. Scott_Arm 24 faults 3:12
4. Gerry 39 faults 4:52
Yeah, I spent an hour on it tonight just to shave ten seconds off my time. :p Not sure I can get too much more. I know I can gain 3-4 more seconds without radically changing my approach on the 3 angled incline boards after the giant pipes at the beginning because my best run I lost a LOT of time there. But it seems every good run has a weak spot and I am not consistent enough to pull it all together in a fault free run. I have had some 1 fault runs at the 63 second range but putting it all together is tough! The top guys are in the 45 second range--so don't lose heart, there is plenty of time to shave--as they show how conserving momentum can allow you to drop over 25 seconds below me :???: Man this game is frustrating!

Btw Gerry nice improvement in your Gas Trouble runs.

Robert, I heard your scream from SF all the way up here in Seattle!

That was just cruel--you bested me by a good 9 seconds only to fall into a small crack at the end. I would feel worse except I did the same thing TWICE tonight. You really have to slow down at that last series (or really master them) or you have a killer run all for naught.

Anyways I am predicting a new champ this week. (Everyone else better up their game because do any of us REALLY want Robert to laugh at us all week with 200+ fault runs on Inferno 3 hahaha).

I honestly never look at faults and just try to go as fast as possible. Being reckless is much more fun than being careful.

If I win, I'll pick Redlynx MotoJam. Fun track.

I am heading to bed soon but if I stay #1 on the leaderboard come 12pm PST I select...

Trials Challenge Week 2
(Monday May 7th - Sun May 13th): Warehouse 28

Of course if someone bests me in the next couple hours feel free to select something else :p I will post everyone's time on Gas Problem tomorrow or the next day.

I couldn't find Warehouse 28. I just unlocked License A this morning and I am on the track before Gigatrack....could be I haven't unlocked it yet.

Anyway I'm away until July and will pick it up when I get back. Hopefully the challenges will continue. I'll follow the thread while I'm gone but won't have my X360 with me:cry:

Good luck to all.

Warehouse 28 is in the Death Valley list (Hard, one right before Flat Liners which has all the Insane tracks).

Didn't see it before I left...probably not unlocked yet.

I'm away from X360 for a while.

I almost thought bringing it with me, but I wasn't aware of the broadband connection where I am at and didn't want to chance damaging it on 26 hours of airline travel (including layovers).

Good luck in the competition and I hope it's still going when I get back.

I need to get you guys into fighting games so that we can run some B3D-only tournaments.

I have SF4 (non-Super).

As for broadband... with Trials you could have played and practiced :p Further, even a slow broadband would let you post times. Too bad they are so fragile! Can you say: CARRY ON! ;)

Btw I haven't been able to play as my Xbox is packed pending our move on Thursday. Hopefully I'll be able to join the competition next week (at which point I will have only slow crappy internet, so Trials scores may be all that I can even do :p).

Results are in:

Trials Challenge Week 2 (Monday May 7th - Sun May 13th): Warehouse 28

PHP:
1. Acert93 00 faults 1:07
2. Robert 01 faults 1:00
3. Gerry 14 faults 2:43
4. Scott_Arm 24 faults 3:12

Oddly enough I gave it a run tonight and pegged a 1:02 on my first complete run. For those curious this is what the track looks like:

For this week we are going to do Robert's suggestion: RedLynx Moto-Jam map under Cutting Edge (Hard) group. If no one complains I think we should do through Saturday night so I can post on Sunday and we can do the new track on Sunday.

Trials Challenge Week 3 (Mon May 14h - Sat May 19th): RedLynx Moto-Jam (Cutting Edge Category, Hard)

Preview:

Current Standings as of Monday night:

PHP:
1. Acert93 00 faults 1:06
2. Robert 01 faults 1:09
3. Gerry 03 faults 1:56
4. Scott_Arm 06 faults 1:41
5. Rotmm 20 faults 4:07

And for those curious about the Skill Game "Gas Problem" it looks like this:

I wasn't last!

Actually, I was. Even though I only unlocked those tracks yesterday, I still couldn't complete Warehouse 28. I just cannot get the balance of the rider right. I keep thinking there should be some subtlety, some finesse to the forward and backward movement using left analogue stick, but of course it's just "forward" and "backward" with nothing in-between and therefore I keep throwing my rider over the handlebars on steep climbs ;)

How do you increase (spark plug) leveling? I have a couple friends who are IIs and IIIs who have only played the game a little and I am still a level I.

Thanks R1. Oh, and you have to drop 10 seconds to match my run from this morning :devilish:

Gerry, any suggestions for next week track?

How about something fast and pacy like Titan's Graveyard? I'm no good at these frigging technical challenges. ;)
