There's 15,000 Xbox 360 auctions on ebay

eBay's CEO has said that there've been 40k X360s on eBay sofar. Based on estimates, that'd be 10% of the US shipment.

 

Yea, isn't that crazy? Going to be a lot of dumping once the shipments start rolling in (which I expect they will in the next couple of weeks).

 

Quite funny considering how easy it is to get one even whitout boking.

I saw the same thing with the XBox1. The guy sold just the box for about $400 or so. There were like 30 bids too. I remembering checking the names to see if the same name was just trying to bring the bid up, and it was actually a bunch of different people. The guy was selling it "for collectors" and made it very clear it was just the box.

 

I doubt this has much to do with people not liking their 360, but more with people wanting to make a nice, tidy profit. If you can sell your console, then turn around and buy a new one in a few weeks and be a couple hundred richer, I think a lot of kids will do it.

 

That's what I was going to do. And actually I really like it.

Another factor is I was not able to get the premium. If I could get the premium later it would save me money.

I probably wont sell it now though. Seems prices are down a bit and it's getting late.

The sad thing is I will have $600 in the system when I get what I want. That's a lot.
