We will all know the truth in a weee bit..

As I can now tell you that 3dmark 2003 will be in your hot little hands before the middle of Feb unless there are some unforseen delays. Some of you are going to be a tad depressed as it is no longer going to be the ultimate *freebie* as past releases. Only limited testing will be allowed in the free version.

Let me tell you there is already a DX9 shader test available that gives you some indication of what *could* potentially happen but who really knows right??...

I could tell you the exact Gold date.. but I would have to shoot myself. however... in the spirit of Rumorisms.. 297 is divisible by the gold date, 1089 is divisible by the projected release to the public date.

If you figure it out. keep it to yourself so i dont get my Arse kicked..

I'm not going to be depressed, but I'm not going to pay for it and I doubt many others will either.

That probably wouldn't be a very good idea. A better idea for such a test would be to have a line wrap from the speaker out back to the line in.

Heh, unforseen delays...those never happen in software development...

Seriously, people shouldn't get too hopeful about this. I'd say expect mid-March (if this rumor is correct). No sense getting your hopes up when there still may be delays.

Well the date of release is the 11th.. which of course 1089 /11 = 99 and it comes before the middle of the month.

The date it went gold interanlly was... 297/3 = 99 or the 3rd.

3rd for the Gold date and 11th for release.. I posted this on January 29 and now we all know from futuremarks site that it will indeed be released on the afternoon of the 11th.
