Well, your french is quite good i would say. In 3 months in France you wouldn't make anymore those little prepositions errors. I would like to speak/write english as you write/speak french

ED, those small errors have been my bane since, well, forever. I'm not even convinced time in France would correct them, but three months is a long time. Your English is at least as good as my French, mon ami.

Well. i really think nVidia will do everything to be on top, even if the card costs 1000€/ 2 molex/ etc.
Now the real battle will be in the 200€ vid cards, and i don't see rumors about cut down versions of R420/NV40.

Bah, it makes no difference really if the R500 is going to be the Xbox next graphics core. The whole theory is based on the idea that the Xbox next VPU is using the R400 core but augmented of course. The only reason I decided to use that course of argumentation is because the poster that suggested the only problem was the R500 was to be the core. Whatever the matter .. I still think that this is what they are doing with the R400.. it is going in the next xbox.

Assuming this is true, it would actually make sense.
R400 was an ATI East Coast design, was it not? then we have East Coast handling the Xbox 2 graphics processor. say its a beefed up R400 and possibly things like embedded memory for the framebuffer, and other custom stuff that MS wants.
ATI East Coast - R200, R400, R4xx for Xbox 2.
ATI West Coast - R300, R420, Nintendo GPU(s), R500
I wonder if the Nintendo GCN2/N5 GPU will be based on R500. or something inbetween R420 and R500.
[yes, I am well aware that Xbox 2 was ment to have a graphics processor based on R500. the above is simply what those teams have done in the past, plus what the teams are working on now for the future, based on what Dave said]
