    "NV40 will bundle with Doom 3 or a Doom 3 voucher. "
My source talked to NVidia at CEBIT and says DOOM3 probably won't be bundled with NV40.
P.S reliability of my source: medium to high 8)

Bundling of games is typically handled by the add-in board manufacturers, not the chip manufacturers.

Thanks for the link, but I think nVIDIA's approach is not the traditional rendering to VB method: the data has to travel through PS before being written to vertex texture. Thus the precision of PS's ALU may have a hand in the final image.(I'm not sure at this point, does directly transporting data through PS involve ALU?) I could be wrong though, it's a new technique to me. :p

But unlike Nvidia, ATI is also an add-in board manufacturer. You can't go to a store and buy an Nvidia brand card-- you can with ATI. So ATI is in a diffferent position when it comes to that than Nvidia.

ATI also produces boards. And has ATI yet mentioned which "select RADEON products" will ship with Half-life 2?

What Polarny wrote on his website doesn't make sense. Again he asked NVIDIA about the bundle -- obviously they will tell him it's not up to them to decide heh.

    Here's another rumour for you:

NV40 will live up to the rumour mill on paper regarding pipilines, but will be slower than you would expect for such an architecture.

Is that what you guess or is it something you know for a fact?

FYI Digitimes is rarely wrong, many investors rely heavily on them..look at their past track record. Digitimes is not the inquirer.

They have been quite wrong on a number of occasions. It also looks like the two elements of information they have quoted from other sites appear to be from Fudo's reports!

And strangely enough, Fudo is saying Geforce 6800 again.

My gut also tells me that Nvidia will manage to do less with more and Ati more with less. How the final comparison between the two works out when the rubber hits the road, my gut can't tell.

Well, I know one bit as a fact, the other as a rumour.
