Yes, I know. It's called "spidey hole" in the comics, and ocasionally "spider bottom" in some comics, mainly between 72-85.
But how are they doing it in gameplay? Hold L1? Is it a toggle? QTEs? This can make or break the game

In the middle of the game sometimes you ll be prompted to tap fast L1 to tighten the spidey butt to keep it in. During those moments you will be vulnerable for a brief time so you ll have to find a safe place.
If you fail to tap it fast enough spidey will unleash into his suit. Your character will have less reflexes, hindered movement etc etc as a result

Actually it’s not feces. When you see spidey with a droopy backside. It’s him getting ready to refill his web cartridges. It becomes obvious when you remember anatomically a spider’s spineret is located right next to its anus.

Sometimes I really don't understand how it can take so long for devs to learn certain lessons. As soon as crysis 3 came out, people said that CA needs to be used with more subtlety. But it was understandable that the dev was a bit blinded by how proud they were of the neat cool post fx they just made and were a little heavy handed to show off. Ok, it was crass then, but it happens. But its been 5 years Insomniac. That kind of lack of elegance is just cringy by now. Go slow on your damn CA! I'm talking 1 to 1/2 a pixel distance only, its enough.

This one of the things that's so cool about the new God of War, he looks like his actually wearing clothes. To be fair to Spiderman though his suit is spandex

Yeah, it looked weird in Infinity War too. Spider-Man in a shiny suit just looks wrong.
