The Hulk -WARNING SPOILERS

Passenger on Serenity

OK, just finished watching the hulk ;) and had some comments about it.

-First: he apperantly doesnt wear underwear. :) and his pants seem to strectch and shrink at will.

-Second: as a completly cg character, he looks pretty good. Please keep in mind that the comic book series has him pretty big and so does the movie.

-Third: Jennifer Connelly, wow what a hottey(sp?). she was pretty good. She still cant act like a smart person. ;)

I really enjoyed the movie, Nick Nolte was pretty good as the dad. Im growing to like how they did their cutscenes. Gets tidious after a while but still cool.

Oh, not sure where ang lee added his signiture to the film. what im saying is that although a good movie, i cant see where ang added a certain flair like in crouching tiger. He should have taken the job at T3, where his style might have been better utilized.

anyways might add more later,

I hope you saw a pre-screening and not the one you can download off the internet. The internet version is a workprint and differs drastically from the final cut.

Wasn't Banner's transformation into the Hulk originally brought about by nightfall? Hell, a buddy of mine still has Hulk #1 so I should ask him. Hmm, makes me wonder if the movie will affect that book's value? Have any of the recent films (Spider-man, X-men, etc.) had any significant impact on the value of these old comics?

Wow  Your friend has Hulk No. 1? Good condition I hope? That should be worth some bucks!

John,

I think it's value will be fairly high, thanks to nostalgia, but it won't be a permanent spike in the value.

I'd sell it ASAP.

wow, #1. is it the original #1 ala 1962's

price difference:35000 for 62 to ~30 for 99 (mint condition)
Prices in comic books usually do rise, not by alot and soon return to their value. what effects prices is the cycles in interest in them. right now we are back to the peak in prices. I expect it to wain within the next 5 years.

ps here is another famous cover: issue 181 (2500$ mint)

introduction of wolverine.

later,

i did watch the working print, still planning on watching the film when it comes out. I need to support marvel films if i want them to make an "Iron Man" movie. :)

later,

I'd like to see them do "The Silver Surfer"! Although I'm not sure how I'd introduce him to the big screen since he first showed in Fantastic Four No. 49 - 51.

There's already a FF movie that came out in the early '90s. Pretty low budget, though.

I really wish I'd held onto my collection of comics. Damn college tuition. :devilish:

If I recall correctly the FF movie never was released and was shelved.
