TEKKEN 5

"Namco confrimed that the PS2 version of Tekken 5 will include arcade port of Tekken 1, 2 and 3, StarBlade is also playable while the game is loading...."

What does that bold part mean?

I think it's like an Asteroid kind of game which u can play while the game loads. Which is strange cause Tekken games always had the shortest loading times around, and Tekken5 is said to be the same. They had a game like that in another game, where the loading times were longer.
This one could be different, but with the same concept of keeping players entertained while the game loads.

Honest to Eru, I am so wet! :p

Do ANY of you live in northern New Jersey? My friends don't like VF or Tekken and it makes me weep in frustration!

Just noticed, that Jinpachi (Heihachi's father????) looks VERY cool!!!
Oh and surprise surprise... Heihachi is playable... even though he's dead!!! :devilish: ;)

The StarBlade thingy is pretty sweet. The idea of adding classic arcade game as boot gimmick rocks, love it! Cool, that they are picking it up again.

I'm surprised more people don't do it. It simply seems to make sense to me. It adds interest, kitchy fun, and decreases people's annoyance with boot times.

Gamers in particular are easily distracted. ;)

Maybe the only long loading time is the boot -up one? I heard that T5´s loading before a battle was almost nonexistant, so I think that´s about the only possibility...

There might be other modes that take boot-up time, though (whatever "adventure" mode they're contemplating, etc). Time between fights would indeed be a bad place to stick it, and is much better handled by shaving as much time off as possible.

It took God 7 days to create the world (actually it only took 1 day - he pulled an all-nighter on the 6th) and Jesus 3 days to respawn, so I don't understand all the fuss about waiting a few seconds for a similarly imaginary world and character to load.

I don't actually care, I'm just saying it would be a dumb place to stick in a mini-game, so I'd hope they'd strive for just more loading-time decreasing. The mini-game if nothing else would disrupt the flow.

Hence I was guessing the places I THINK it should be. ;)
