Perhaps this should be in RPSC but I had a quick quesiton.
My wife and I had a small student loan with no interest, but you poor tax payers were paying the interest
Anyway I was going to repay it today, but the lender said they sold it to Sallie mae and that I cannot now repay it till they send me the paperwork. That will still happen before interest begins accruing, but it seems terribly unfair that they are milking the taxpayer for another month of interest at least when I wanted to repay it. Strange that they said there is nothing I can do but wait for them to send me the paperwork.
