I hear the controls for Sonic the Hedgehog are crap...

Indeed they are, at least bad enough to frustrate me in the 2 minutes I played it on the 360 at E3. Sonic Wildfire, OTOH, seems like a step in the right direction for the Sonic series, though I didn't get hands-on with it.
