So umm, dual GPU on one card is a nice little end around by Nvidia

Who knows, if performance gains are approximately the same as with an SLI, I'd rather have a single card solution than an SLI. Price wise it's a better option also..

Sonumagun. That's not the page that other link takes me too. Similar but not the same. There is no option for fragbox chassis, and no vid cards after memory. The other link goes to Mach V build.

Anywho, Inq talks about this as well: http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=30343

Interesting that at $1,853 that implies $926.50 per, which is signficantly higher than the $799 bit-tech reported. And, that assumes that $1,853 is from a zero point of no card at all --is it?

A question from the audience: What will be the price for Quad SLI with 7900GTX cards?

Tony Tamasi:

I cannot really say so far. Thousands of dollars. But there are still those who want to buy such computers. They will be manufactured by three vendors only and it will be up to them to dictate prices.

Ah, thanks. The "zero point" is a 7600GT! Therefore add another ~$200. . .making it really ~$2,053. . .
They're selling a 2nd 7600GT for +$279 so it's more like $2132 for Quad SLi - $1066 per 7900GX2. These guys are charging even more (nearer $1100). :(

$279 for a 7600GT? That's highway robbery. That extra 30% goes a long way towards explaining their GX2 prices.

Wait till gigabyte get their 2 gpu's per card out on the 7900GT series .... 2 x 7900GT is a far better proposition than this overpriced crud for lazy people.

really hope they can get the PCB length under control, both companies. those cards extend almost into the area of the harddrive bays unless the case positions it under it, which many dont. Doesnt bode too well for the NV50 and R600 high end series.
