SLI'd - How many monitors?

I was looking at getting another machine to fit a gfx card in that could handle quad monitors, summat like the Matrox G400.

Would the dual 6800U's perform the same task but allow me to play games on that machine too ?

Yes, it allows you to have up to 4 monitors.
