it's simply the best horror game to date. it's graphically, atmospherically amazing. and guess what? it's running on a simple vpu with a whopping 4mb vram.
dawn & rudy are definitely way overpriced!!!

I think it's beauty has as much to do with technicalities than it has with bananas. It's all about the art and designs. I can't wait to have it on PC.

i personally don't think paying $300 or more for some psx.x shading effect is worth it anyway. the simple palettize? water effect in some ps2 games is very comparable to some dx8 games(nwn, cod) for me. i think gpu companies should make their product cheap as 1st prority rather than acceratingly adding features as a improvement.

I'm not saying that i spent 300 quid on a card to play SH4, but that if i had to choose between the PS2 version and the PC version, i will go for the PC version, since my 5900U and A64 will give me a much better idea of what the developers wanted the game to look like.

And that wasn't really the point of my post anyway.

You keep thinking that SH4 looks great because of the way it was programmed.
I will keep thinking that it looks great because of the artists involved in the project.

In that case, I hope you won't be disappointed, as the game was clearly targeted for TV resolutions it being a console game...

I'd also say that the visual impression of a game == "technical effort" + art-direction.... ;)

And as i have already said, the game would be played on the same screen anyway, so one the same screen i would prefer a high resolution possibly with AA rather than a very badly filtered (by the display itself) interlaced signal through S-Video. ;)

You won't get Far Cry level graphics on Geforce 2 you know.

Or Chronicles of Riddick level graphics on PS2.

Cheers

I know - I was merely replying to your "since my 5900U and A64 will give me a much better idea of what the developers wanted the game to look like". ;)
