I'd just like to say congradulations to the top 5. I think this was a really cool idea and hope to see another competition for VS/PS 3.0.

I didn't actually download it but the idea is good anyway its different to really show how the differences between cpu's and gpu's are dissapearing.

Frogger is really screwed up on my Radeon 9700 with Catalyst 3.8 drivers. :(
It was actually also screwed up when I ran it at home on a Radeon 9500 Pro (the card that killed my MB). At work with the same card it ran fine (it was a card I borrowed from work for a weekend). At home it seemed to not be able to run the display shader when it was over thirty something instructions. I guessed it was a power problem.

worked great on my shit-system wich loves to crash everything..

yeah, one time i'm not the one with the bug:D

and yeah, the frogger thing is great..

Might only have gotten a runner up prize, but at least I seem to be getting the "audience favourite" award. ;)

Yup, so it seems. Noone seems to like mine ... * cries *
;)

Nah, I'm happy with a runner-up position. I was kinda dry of ideas at that time.

My 9700 Pro (Cat 3.7) doesn't work with Frogger either, all the other's i've tried work ok. Just looks like the graphics are being skewed by a wavey patern over the top, well atleast I'm not alone

Actually, I thought yours was the best by far.

Thanks. Well, the end result maybe wasn't that bad, but until I got it to work the way I wanted ... well, it was kinda hacky. Laying our the track was kinda problematic. The technique didn't work quite as well as I thought it would. Had to redo it many times over until I got a track that didn't do some stupid twists or ended up flat or misshaped. Not to mention the hassle of getting the camera to look in the right direction ..

Frogger doesn't work for me either... the screen is all wierd looking.

<-Soft 9700
Same here (9700 Pro, Cat 3.8). I wonder what the problem is? This is kinda frightening, in terms of the hardware...

In the news thread it was said that turning off FSAA and anisotropic solved (most of) the problems. This makes sense, since I do count on point sampling for many of the textures, so forcing them to anisotropic will likely cause problems.

Noone seems to like mine also  Well, I don't like it either :)

if i read correctly, you're the main winner, aren't you? .. that much about not liking yours:D

well, i liked all entries (those 10 i saw at least.. are there more? are they available?), so that includes yours.. :D

Ah, yes, that would make sense. Why in the world does ATI force anisotropic when point sampling is asked for? Stupid, stupid, stupid.
