Opportunity:
Working as a part of a team, you will have some or all of the following responsibilities:
Design, develop and debug graphics drivers to the WDDM specification to drive our current and next generation graphics cores for cutting edge embedded Windows operating system technologies.
Mentor and offer guidance to more junior team members, and provide organisation and structure to customer projects, taking a lead role in technical discussion with customer engineering teams.
Performance enhancements and optimisation of the driver code to ensure high performance driver software is released to our customers.
Working closely with other highly skilled teams within the company, from research and development groups through to highly skilled compiler and hardware design teams.
Interact closely with our customers who include some of the most well-known hardware vendors in the world, to ensure their products are successful in the dynamic and fast paced mobile SOC marketplace.
Create logical and structured architectural and functional documentation for consumption both internally and by our customers.
Skills:
Required Skills:
• Excellent C programming skills.
• Experience with low level windows programming.
• Some background in low level driver writing.
• A solid understanding of systems architecture issues.
• An understanding of key concepts in computer generated graphics.
• Experience in project organisation and efficient distribution of project sub-tasks amongst available resource to maximise productivity.
Desirable Skills:
• Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) programming experience.
• Experience in programming GPU hardware.
• Some level of exposure to and understanding of industry standard graphics API’s, e.g. DirectX or OpenGL.
