    :)

I hope that this won't be the last press release for a "new high-performance PowerVR graphics processor".

Ok, Serie 5 for arcade! Not to bad for the beginning. :)

But what we need is a PC version, arcade is to expensive for my home.

Where is our "new high-performance PowerVR graphics processor" for the PC?

Between all the MBX wins, Atomiswaves, and this, PowerVR will be the graphics basis for lots of devices.

Sammy Corp.'s trying to open and expand arcade markets all over the world, including previously-untapped developing nations. There's a lot of growth potential there through the Atomiswave line of boards.

How is this going to help them get Series5 into PC's? Who's going to license the IP from them etc.?

    Where?
    On the front page?
    B3D has a front page?
    Really??!!!!

    Sorry about that.

It says a new processor. It doesn't say future or upcoming. There may be silicon ready? I guess they didn't sign this today. If it is ready how similar will be to a posible PC part?

Do you mean the chip? I'd dare to speculate that it's the same thing.

    Some older stuff....

cool thing is, Sega's new PowerVR-based arcade hardware should easily surpass the above fake specs.

I know its only PR, but I like these quotes:
PowerVR are not generally guilty of hype, so I'm hopeful.

Kristof, you cross posted. Time for the whips! ;) j/k I hope Sega come up with some stuff that really stresses this board. I don't think the DC was ever fully stressed, IIRC.

If I recall correctly those specs were from FGNonline.com or something like that and the console was codenamed Avatar. It was a sick joke that left a lot of people in disbelief on Blast City. I think it was fgnonline, not completely sure though.
