Searching for a new display

Hello!

I'm planning on buying a new display and I thought it would be good to ask for some advice as I am not an expert when it comes to displays. From what I've read, it would be a good option to get Samsung SyncMaster 2243BW, but if available, I would get the BWX edition. Does anyone have any experiences with this display? Is it any good? Should I get this one?

Also, I would really appreciate if you could recommend better monitors than this. It should fit in the following criteria: it is 22 inch big and is under 450€.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! Keep them coming. By the way, could someone explain me what's the difference between Dynamic Contrast and Static Contrast?

The words "Samsung" and "is it good" do not belong together in the same sentence ;)

Samsung is synonymous with high quality LCDs.

I just got an LG 227WTG. I'm not a fan of LCDs in general, but my 21" Trinitron is passing it's functional life span and I was tired of dragging the 80lbs beast to lans. After shopping around quite a bit based on gaming as my primary concern, the 227WTG seemed like the way to go (pun intended :p).

I'm all open to suggestions still! Here are two displays that I have now in my mind; SyncMaster 2253BW and SyncMaster 226CW. From what I've read the reviews 226CW seems to be a great display, 2253BW however is newer and according to Samsungs site, it is a successor to 226BW. There doesn't seem to be any reviews of it yet. Does anyone here have 2253BW? How is it? Has anyone found any reviews of it? Which one should I get?

There is no edit button!:???:

Anyway, I've been thinking if I should get a 24" rather than a 22"? I would use this display with my HD 4870 1gb when it comes

Sorry to make my third post in a row, but I forgot to ask about prices. How much more expensive are 24" than 22"? On a side note, please add the edit button...

If you can afford it (both up-front costs and TCO by way of graphics card updates) go for a 24" screen. 1680x1050 is the new 1280x1024. May as well stay one step ahead and be capable of FullHD res.
