Rev Controller Extentions ideas?

So what kind of extentions do you think we will see?

I am thinking 'half-a-keyboard' for WASD + SPACE, Q, E, TAB, R, a scroll-wheel (below where the space button would be perhaps?). That would be sufficient for most FPS games.

'Double-remote' another remote-controller that is wired to the first so 4 players can play without taking up any of the wireless channels (I am assuming only 4 wireless channels are available).

'Fish-rod-clamp' something that allows you to attach it to any fishing rod - oh, and you arent supposed to extend the rod fully otherwise youd have to be outside to use it ;)

'Star wars light sabre shell' Just a shell you insert the controller into so that you could comfortably use it as a light sabre. Of course this would work for reqular swords too!

Lets hear your ideas!

Gun handle.

Just attach the base controller onto a handle with a trigger (so that the base controller would look like a gun barrel), and shazam - you've got a point and shoot device.

A real Game controller.

You mean a controller with d-pads, analog sticks, shoulder buttons, vibration, etc.? Funny you should say that, considering every aspect of what you consider a 'real game controller' was invented by Nintendo. I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, if I were you.

And conveniently modified, misplaced, and/or warped until they became borderline useless by Nintendo. Except for vibration functionality, that's pretty much been unchanged.

The proportions are off, but you get the idea, and it's a good one. Add a couple of buttons, perhaps, where your hand grips it, et voila.

Not sure how necessary it is - the controller on its own would prob work fine for lightgun type games - but it looks nice ;)

A "classic gamepad addon" in which you insert the 'remote control' like Revolution pad, have been announced, for those wanting a "real gamepad".
Besides there also is the NGC gamepad...

A nice thing of this controller is that you canhave a personal pad like just by little/cheap additions.

Anyway I think that a few more butoms (2 trigers, and instead 1 "central" butom (A I think) 2 side by side , if more I wouldnt bother too ;) ) could add some complexity if needed too games, standart microphone for even bettermore inovation (and this is so cheap that I think it would really worth it) and a bigger wire from remote to joystinck is mandatory to.

A standart second remote (2 remotes per player, please, so we can dual sword/welding/comand/punch etc...or more complex controls), would make this thing on of the best thinghs ever, nd really add a lot of possibilitys.

That would fullfill my dreams... :D :D :D

I thought the idea was to simplify controllers? This thing already has 8 buttons and a d-pad, when you add "extensions" it just gets that much more complicated. Don't get me wrong it looks like it could be fun to play with but I wouldn't call it "simple" by any means.

The idea is to make the controller less intimidating to those who've never played a video game before, that's why a controller that looks like a television remote is so genius. Everyone, no matter thier age/gender/race, has used a television remote.

As far as expanding the gaming market, Nintendo is really on to something here.. Whether or not it'll acctualy work well enough for those of us who take our games seriously though, remains to be seen.
