Reselling Windows

I get a special student discount for microsoft programs and when I buy windows I get both 64bit and 32bit editions. I only need the 32bit one, is it illegal for me to sell the unopened one on ebay?

I'm no lawyer, but if you got the software under a special discount scheme then usually there are conditions attached, such as only being for personal use and not being able to resell. When I worked at a University I could get any Microsoft software for £1 but only under condition it was I who used it and if I left the Uni I would have to uninstall it. Regardless, if you did sell it then licence conditions would have to be continued, hence person buying it would have to be a student etc.

But believe me, nothing bad will happen if you give it away for free ;-)

Your school has a crazy license for this. There are huge restrictions, including the no transferring of the license and have to get rid of it if you leave school without graduating.
