I thought the latest set of public release drivers would be OK, but not the "developer drivers". Don't remember exactly how driver dependent it was, bit perhaps using only an older redline.dll might work.

Don't remember exactly when Creative came out with their thing (TNT era, 1999?), but this must have been quite a bit earlier. IIRC, it started its life (as an entry in a programming contest?) on bjorn3d back in late 1997 (first version ran a 3dfx demo screensaver).
