Well, Hypebinder is littering this forum, in public, with his fanboyism and mean streak towards NVDA. This is personal for him vs NVDA. If everyone just ignores it, the public displays of bitterness and hatred from him won't stop.

Any consumer that has ethics or doesn't like to get 'ripped off' should have issues with Nvidia, prior to last year there was plenty of reasons not to like the company(abandoning support for 3DFX cards, Kyro incident, ..tack on last years antics like buying developers like EA and Tiger Woods, strong arm tatics, cover ups galore to:

Since the consumer was the target for these little stunts, only fanboys would not care. So before anyone labels Hellbinder a fanboi, he has a right to choose whatever company he feels is delivery 'honest' performance.

Doomtrooper, do you work for ATI, or have a personal connection with ATI? Or is it just loyalty to your country?
You are obviously almost as bad as Hypebinder. I'd paint you in the same brush as him. Extremely closed-minded and illogical in painting one company as heroic and one company as evil

Hey I was the original ATI fan, Hellbinder took over as I retired from 30 page arguements

I am being quite honest when I share my opinions about Hypebinder (which I think is a less offensive name than Hellbinder). I am sure there are many people who agree with me, even at Rage3d. They guy is a very negative influence on this forum. Totally closed-minded, filled with hate and vengeance.
jimmy, why do you jump on ATI fans? We have all kinds of people on this forum. And most are intelligent enough to know who favors which IHV. So it's really no big problem. Be tolerant. Let everyone has his little bias. There are worse things than that.

If you really feel so strongly about it, I suggest you address your complaint to them in the "Feedback" forum. I think jimmy is just frustrated is all, no harm in that. I mean, it was only a couple months ago people were doubting nVidia could even produce a real 16 pipe card.
They did more than just that this time around, yet people still feel the need to bash, regardless if they even owned a FX5800 or not.
There are too many inconsistencies about what ATi will be able to answer back with.
Though it is entertaining to see both arguements (especially the supposed non bias showing their bias..lol), it is what it is.
I wouldn't take things to the heart, it's just hardware.

Seriously now, who here thinks that the X800 Pro will turn out faster than 6800 Ultra ? I personally don't think so but if it turns out to be true it's gonna be party-time because
a) We will be able to purchase an ultra-fast card for around $350 (Euros for us b-citizens)
b) nVidia will either have to bump up the core before launch (A2??) therefore providing a card with full SM3.0 and blistering performance or lower the rpp a lot.
Either case WE WIN

Clocked faster yes perform better... maybe in one or two games that are intentsive in some form that the NV40 architecture is not optimized for but these instances will probably be minimal and by small margins.
I wouldn't be suprised though that FarCry winds up being a better ATI performer then NVIDIA that is until the drivers get 'improved'

The difference between me and some others that I mentioned is that I have a lot of respect for both ATI and NVDA, and I am open-minded about products from both companies. For the last year and a half, for anyone looking for a high end video card, guess what I have recommended to my friends? ATI, hands down. I am just tired of seeing people bring their personal distaste for a company to this forum. Instead of trying to learn as much as possible about the various designs, some people are more interested in boosting their ego and dragging an entire company and all their fans in the dirt.
The fact of the matter is that both NVDA and ATI have learned a lot from their mistakes, and they are giving us some amazing products today that we never could have even dreamed of two years ago. Let's celebrate what is good about each company and each design, instead of focusing on what is bad about each company and each design.
Anyway, enough of that...back to your regularly scheduled programming...
