Yeh men, and laughing me arse off by FanATIc idiots like you! sorry, but all your last post are totally and completly BS.

Don't play down the GF 6800U, there's currently NO AIB who can produce DDRIII with more that 600mhz!

Notice the date when the partnership started, I know for a fact there is 600 + out there.

aww man you should have let the guy think what he was thinking was correct so when a certain IHV releases a certain product in a few weeks DW could come back and show him the err of his ways :devilish:

Can you specifically point to an "NVIDIOT" at this forum who has a personal vendetta against ATI? Looks like you are just finding excuses to pardon the behavior of people like HB and DT.

Maybe you are blind, or you just haven't read many posts around here.

In any event, read any post by Chalnoth.

And maybe DemoCoder.

I don't think I'd call DC an nvididiot. He's a skeptic (probably in the good sense of the word). He's certainly given props to NV40, but that is justified.

you have to understand, anyone who ever disagrees with the local fanATIcs simply must by an nVidiot

Years ago DC was most certainly biased, back when this site was run by the other Dave B. He has come around, but sometimes his true colors come through ;)

Enough already.

EVIL FANPEOPLE SPIRITS, BEGONE!

There, now can we get back to constructive, or at least amusing debate? All these accusations from brand-new members are getting old. And all the old members should know enough not to encourage this kind of behavior. This thread has been nothing but nothing for the past few dozen posts. You all know Dave is pretty darn busy right now, so why do you insist on creating more work for him? Just go take a walk and get reacquainted with the daystar or something.

If you want to publish a blacklist, start your own website. Now, back to 3D Tech. TIA.

I'm sceptic because ATI's last 2 refresh cycles produced clock speeds that were lower than hyped by fans like Hellbender. I seriously doubt we'll see 600mhz 16 pipes cores, the power needed and heat would be too high with the transister counts. Sure people hype low k but realisticly low k improves clocks around 10% over standard .13 process so realistically i think we'll see 450-500mhz parts from ATI.

basically i think ATI/nvidia will be neck and neck in performance of their top parts although i think going forward nvidia might have an advanatage due to their better shadowing support and 32zixels, unless the R420 has something very similar for doom3 like engines.

This is not Nvidia we're talking about.

You forget ATI's last generations of chips were much cooler, and required less power then Nvidia's dustbusting lineup. And they also proved their abilities on creating low power, low heat chips (9600) from low-K.

Again, you did not really read what I had said. I asked you to point out someone who has a personal vendetta against ATI. Chalnoth does not. Democoder does not. Very obviously. These guys are trying to give a counterpoint to all the one-sidedness that you see on the forums. It is very indirect logic to imply that someone who defends NVIDIA has a personal vendetta against ATI. That is really not a fair, or logical, implication. However, with people like HB, it is clearly personal, no question about it.

Oh yeh, Chalnoth isn't biased. Stop blaming Chalnoth for everything.

Sorry for breathing life into this drivel but I must admit that Chalnoth posts much more pro-Nvidia than anti-Ati. I think that's the trend here. Nvidia supporters vs Nvidia bashers :devilish: . But of course I haven't read every B3D post.....that's just my take on the past few weeks :)

The bad news: It's become an epidemic of morons around here lately.....

The good new: Well, B3d is getting a lot of hits lately.......

Oh great unmoronic one please let the morons know who they are so they can leave and appease the enlightened. From the post counts of some people there have been morons around here for quite a while ;)

And the .13 low part they did had a fraction of the transisters of the X800 and that part maxed out around the 600mhz mark with overclockers. I seriously doubt with 3 x the transisters they've be able to hit 600mhz. 500mhz is doable i think but 600mhz would have to be a refresh part with some serious tweaking of the process and speed binning, even then it would be very tough. Plus lets not forget that ATI is always a tad conservative when it comes to clocking their parts for yields and oem concerns, they're not as ruthless as nvidia are when it comes to clocks in the past.
