As a counterpart to the Xbone thread, here's a list, from IGN, of PS4 day one games:

I'll get DriveClub via Plus to see if I like it. Will DC Universe Online be out this year? I'd love to get back into it with my existing PS3 chars with better graphics.Either way, I'll DL all F2P games, no reason not to try them.
 
DC Universe is on the day one list. There is also a launch window list, so within a month of launch.

Of these I have pre-ordered Infamous. I'll definately be on the look out for The Order, and The Witness. And probably Oddworld as well.

It's going to be a very packed launch window! I predict weight loss and insomnia in the near future... :D
 
Have BF4 and Killzone pre-ordered even though I don't plan on getting a PS4 for a few months after launch (I got a good deal on the games). Will probably get Infamous, and I have The Order on my watch list. Waiting to see more of Knack before I decide on that one.
 
I just read an article on Dutch art academy grads, features a stand-out work each time. This one had an artist who just walked around in city and villages recording the output of surveillance cameras, which ironically seem to be transmitting wirelessly and unprotected. He caught cameras pointing at him from various locations (doorsteps etc) but also pointing at neighbours, various rooms inside the house including a bath tub (which he speculated about a lot, but as a father I think this is just to supervise kids playing in there, I've done that once or twice with Vita and iPad using Skype). It brought the bit from Watchdogs home to me a little more - only hacking seems to be a strong term when it just seems to be 'connect to' much like to an open WiFi spot.

Will likely get Killzone, DriveClub if as good as I hope and have come to expect from Evolution (but I think they're much smaller now though), and LEGO Marvel and Knack are good candidates too, for playing with the kid. Man I would like a next-gen LBP though ...

If Infamous was a launch title I think it would be a good launch lineup. But I'm not worried... there seems to be enough to hold me over until Q2/Q3, and you know Sony has several more titles to be announced for the rest of 2014. They're probably just waiting until gamescom, TGS, spike awards or maybe even next year's E3.

I'm not sure, I was just going off the IGN list. With over 140 titles in development, and we don't know what MM, Santa Monica, and ND are working on, there's going to be quite an abundance of gaming goodness in the first year.
 
I'm getting Knack and Watch Dogs for launch, also some indies look fun, probably getting the Oddworld remake and Octopus Dad.

Also interested in Infamous and The Order 1886 in the launch window, but will wait for reviews. Still waiting to see what they announce at Gamescom and TGS ;)

But all my plans could change next week if they announce Everquest Next for PS4. If that's the case my small amount of available play-time per week is booked for the following 6 months. I just learned it's coded against the same engine as Planetside 2, so chances are good.

Yeah, things are looking very positive for Everquest. It would seem that Sony have a few surprises to reveal as Gamescon, hopefully that will be one of them!
 
If I get a PS4 at launch, it will be KZ for me. They seem to be freshening it up and I would like some graphical goodness to ogle at at launch :) !
Other than that Infamous is what I amwaiting for and might get a ps4 when that arrives.

As for third parrty tiltes, I only care about Destiny ! If Destiny works out the way they are promising, it might turn out that I am not playing anyhitng else on the ps4 for quite some time. I was a big BF fan but somehow BF4 hasn't excited me at all. I am myself pretty surprised at that, but I guess it feels too similar.

Of course, what I am most interested in is GG's, Santa Monica's and ND's new games :D ! That is why we get a playstation. Sony has still kept the megatons in its secret bag and my guess is, once the cat is out, we might forget about others completely :cool: !
Also MGS V whenever it launches !

Well, there is an actual "day one edition" Xbone SKU. Even with branding (for one I believe the controller says day one edition on the front) and you get an achievement too I think?

There's no PS4 Day One SKU. Amazon sells (sold) a "launch day" PS4 but it's no different than any other PS4, it's just amazon's artificial way of denominating on the order page a unit you are supposedly guaranteed to get on launch.

It's trivial marketing crap but the kind of stuff people eat up. I imagine nin/sony will copy the idea next time. But I would have liked it better had they included something of value for free with it, like a year of Gold. No dice of course.

Will buy PS4 day one along with the following games.
Killzone Shadow Fall, BF4, Watch Dogs, Drive Club and maybe COD Ghosts. These should keep me quite busy till the rest of launch window titles including The Order, Infamous and Destiny.

You should also add "Primal Carnage" to launch titles op.

You can also find comments from the Common Man referring to 'day one' activities. It's not a new phrase. MS have just focussed on it instead of 'launch' because their box is called the One, but people using the language as they have done for years clearly isn't being influenced as a result.
