[PS3] Uncharted 2

Dear lord, perhaps I stayed up too often during the last few days !

I need to look for some YouTube videos for the rain scenes.

EDIT: Argh, "rain" has been claimed by Heavy Rain on Google. Can't find any U2 links in the search results. :( (It's all "Heavy Rain" vs "Uncharted 2").

It's a pretty damn good ride, though I honestly like UC1 more simply because of the locations and setting. I love tropical settings hehe.

but for example the levels where it rains (and it doesn't just rain, it pours!) and you can see the water effects everywhere, even on the walls, i was shocked. It just looks so real!

Do you mean the scene, where it rains and suddenly there is even lightning and you walk up some stairs if I remember correctly?!?

This was some of the best graphics stuff I have ever seen in a game: I played in a dark room at night, and then the flashy lightning hit and I had the impression that my whole room got light - phantastic mood!

There's loads of rain levels :p The whole escorting level is rain...(and just before) and one of the last levels as you walk through a whole bunch of water...lightning and all.

I guess that's what I get for rushing through the game. I replayed it once too !

I am astounded I have zero memory of all the rain scenes you guys talk about here. Then again, occasionally -- when my schedule went crazy -- I forgot I had lunch already and ate 2 lunches a day. ^_^

What are the chapter numbers ?

11 - Keep Moving is the escort one.

One of the very last chapters before the final fight has quite the thunderstorm too. Can't recall the name and the game won't let me look at the chapter number because I'm not passed that point on my current playthrough.

Okay, it's coming back:

Chapter 11: [Spoiler Alert !]

U2 is unbelievable. Every time I watch a gameplay video, I don't remember the game looking so good (It's teh KZ2 effect !).

 the wet shirt effect and everything on screen ! Perhaps it's context, the rain is relatively "small" by global weather standard. I thought we were talking about really pouring where I can't see anything beyond my windscreen. But yes, the game is gorgeous and imposing.

I honestly think Bundles only make sense to new release titles during the pre-holiday season (Oct/Nov). Get the games in the hands of kids who tell their friends who tell their parents who buy the systems and the game separate. Those first 60 days will determine if the game has legs or not, and generate word of mouth from the excited new console owners.

Found it in Chapter 25:

(Spoiler video showing hidden treasures)

The heavily flooded stage has some rain and thunder. ^_^

I guess that settles the thread over which game had the best graphics in 2009, though personally I would of choosen for Visual Engineering, killzone 2 over UC2 (though UC2 would be second)

Maybe Sony are breaking even on this game then, if we are to go with the mainstream notion of any game not selling 8M copies is not a success :)

Yeah, outselling the first game is a good thing, especially considering that they're still not on half price yet. Well deserved and I'm happy to see ND getting the financial success on top of the critical one. Maybe they can gear up to one new release per year ;)

Go Dogs Go :p! Give us more of ur sweet gaming goodness. Do i smell a Jak n Daxter cooking ;)?

I hope Infamous also sells that well, coz thats also one hell of a fun game !

Thats the bitter aftertaste of U2`s (deserved) success - its a sure bet ND wont focus on Jak & Daxter until atleast another Iteration.

I would gladly take a Jak&Daxter Collection on BluRay though (maybe I`d even prefer it to a new part, the story-arc got pretty much closed in Jak3)... this shouldnt take too much work.I hope the GoW Collection sells alot to show there are tons of consumer eager to play PS2 Classics on their HD-Screens.
