PS3 & NGP connectivities (your thoughts & ideas)

1 thought that I have is to use NGP as a 3D scanner to scan your real room into the PS3 & use the PS-Move & PS-Eye to let you walk & look around your room in the virtual world.

because with all the GPS, Gyroscope ,Compass , accelerometer , magnetometer , Camera & so on data the PlayStation Move can easily be used to retrace the movements made by the NGP when it was scanning the room.

or just use the NGP to scan objects into PS3 games like LBP.

what ideas do you have?

- Video conferencing between the home and NGP, if you have a girl or family at home. This could be extended to conferencing with any other NGP or PS3 on your friends list.

- I, also, like the idea of using the NGP as a alternate PS3 controller.

- Be able to invite a friend to remotely view a new game you just started playing (like a self-contained Justin.TV network). I guess the best way to describe this is a spectator mode, for games, that PS3s and NGPs can access equally (single and multi-player games).

This would be good but would need to be supported with cross-game chat. You don't want a situation similar to now, where you message someone on their PS3 but have no idea if they saw the message (away from PS3) or if they're in a position to switch to chat (middle of online game, no pause options), and general uncertainties and inconveniences. Sony need a Live style service, with chat on PC, PS3 and their devices, including Android which they can do but MS can't really as they are supporting their own OS. Heck, Sony could partner up with Skype and provide Skyupe on NGP and PS3. I'm not a big fan of their service, but it'd be a convenient partnership for both.

I wanna be able to move game saves from PS3 and NGP for PS1 games. Would be nice to play FF8 on the big screen sometime.

I always thought that they should add Skype to PS3 I wonder what's stopping them since it's been on PSP for years now.

Since you can already do that between the PSP and PS3 for PSOne games, I don't see why they wouldn't allow that with the NPG.

Bring PS3 into Near please ! Also allows NGP to Remote Play to PS3 via 3G and WiFi outside my home. The RemotePlay should apply to all PS Suite apps.

I also want the option of hosting my stuff on the Cloud. So people can visit me virtually (like the original vision of PS Home).

Qriocity is a given, but I would like a way to upgrade my existing songs for SingStar.

Using NGP as a controller and a remote is probably a natural next step too. I think Sony is too conversative about NGP feature set at this point.
