[PS3] LittleBigPlanet 2

Yeah, I've played around with the beta for a bit. One of the less obvious improvements is the ability to paint textures with the Move in full screen and then use all sorts of tools (notably auto-cutout of objects based on the texture shape) to use those for art in your levels. This has produced some really fetching user created content levels. The painting is already significantly better than any other painting tool that supports Move.

Um...will the Move pack be free or paid? Any confirmation on that?
Cos, if its paid, I'll make sure I have a Eu version of the game disc, so that I can buy it from the Indian store, if free I can have the US version too.

Fairly sure it will be paid. Comes with a completely new campaign as well ...

On another note, a Toy Story 3 DLC / level pack is also coming soon.

My son made about 5 LBP2 levels now. Problem is they kinda suck.
He's totally into it. Come to me once in a while to talk about his "game idea".

He also makes Modnation Racer tracks, and show them to me from time to time.

Unfortunately, Daddy has to ban him from playing PS3 and iPad at this moment. Need to focus on other more important "lessons" first. ^_^

How much better would a create game like LBP be on a multitouch 10-inch tablet?

Compared to using the DS3 for creating levels?

From what I saw on the trailers, LBP is made for touchscreen interface. The back touch should help without blocking the view too -- although arguably a stylus may be even better for fine grained tweaks/drawing. Sony need to combine Move and Vita control schemes. ^_^

The Move pack is really great ... really looking forward to seeing that one go live! Glad to know it is not far off now!

Just saw a tweet from iWaggle3D (who has been sick - I think we'll soon see a bunch of content again, there's a lot of stuff that should still be coming from gamescom), that patch 1.06 for LBP2 is live, which adds Move support and a whole lot of other stuff. So I'm thinking perhaps only the level pack is pay? That would be even more good news, meaning that you don't have to buy the DLC to start playing Move supporting levels ...

TTP posted a new analysis for the LBP Move Pack:

Ahhh, the MEMs components I was suggesting since the beta. ;) The tools look fabulous, and I'm sure we'll see lots of interesting stuff happening with Move. It's sort of a Move Eperiment Kit. I'd really like the choice to use dual Move's to record puppetry, and I'd like to see both the arms controllable via dual Moves, and with better skeleton tracking to control elbow position as well as hand position. Looks extremely promising.

TTP posted a new analysis for the LBP Move Pack:

Ah, so he finally got the green light. Those are still from the beta, and I was worried for a moment that they would become outdated by the final version by the time they were released, but the tools were already incredibly mature for this beta so I don't think we'll see a lot of changes.

I updated LBP yesterday, but on the PS3 where I had run the beta on LBP2 1.06 actually crashed. Fortunately it worked without issue on my other PS3. It has a nice, extensive introduction video giving you instructions on how to use Move. The sensitivity seemed a bit off for navigating the menus XMB-style (seems like a last-minute addition)

I'm very excited for this, personally. The combination of Move and physics is really cool. They had a puzzle level that made good use of being able to both move an object around and rotate it by simply twisting the Move controller, and that works a treat.

Sack it to Me: LittleBigPlanet 2 Move Pack Hits PSN Today:
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/09/13/sack-it-to-me-littlebigplanet-2-move-pack-hits-psn-today/

Today’s the day! The LittleBigPlanet 2 Move Pack will be available later today on the PlayStation Store refresh. The epic downloadable pack includes tons of new gadgets and tools, giving you the power to CREATE games for your PlayStation Move motion controller, which eventually means that tons of user-generated PlayStation Move-enabled games will be available to everyone for free via PSN. But most importantly, the Move Pack contains an epic new storyline titled “Rise of the Cakeling!”

[Blah...]

Heh, I haven't made a single game level myself. So no hurry.

Sometimes, I'm asked to design greeting cards, school projects, kid's soccer team logo, etc. If Media Molecule allows me to create interactive contents and video with LBP2, and export them to the web, I'd be all over it. T_T

From the looks of things I'm still missing some of the tools for Move controls, so I'll probably have to play the 'campaign' a bit more.

What I am missing most right now though is an easy way to find Move specific levels. There doesn't seem to be a way to search for them or identify them easily.
