The projector is a Sony VPL-HW15. I went for that one because of the low lag times and have been very happy with it. The speakers are by Piega (Swiss made).

Edit: Actually, comparing to something like Phil's gaming setup above, the HMD is actually a very economical solution for very immersive gaming.

You could probably improve black levels/contrast with a good screen or a darker wall color. Otherwise, it looks amazing. Love your floors.

Yeah, you're right. I actually looked into buying a screen a while ago, but the costs with getting one in that size is (diagonal is just over 3m / 118inch) is very expensive. Cost/quality trade off using the wall (even though the wall has a slight rough surface) is not bad - especially when in the dark with minimal ambient light if any. I think the priority is to get the subwoofer first which I am still yet to buy, although the 4 speakers do a more than great job. Just the LFE that's missing, but given I do have neighbours who might not care for what I'm watching or playing, it's good enough not to rush into buying one for the moment. :smile:

I'm feeling a bit smug now, reviving possibly the oldest ever topic - and a bit of a shame none of the old pictures still work (well except for one ), but yeah - I just took some pictures of my setup and thought I'd share.

Would be great to see some others too, now 8 years later in the HD era...

wow, nice!!! are you allowed to pump up the volume of your sound system during gaming??
